these will be the protectors within the country if all hell breaks loose
What song would be the unofficial anthem of these protectors?
Add some napalm to your arsenal and ye shall have the smell of Victory!
“Ye” is a second-person, plural, personal pronoun (nominative),
Thou shalt have the smell of Victory!
I was giving Mr. Bauber his due:
It could also function as a singular formal pronoun in some contexts, akin to modern “you.” It was used for addressing groups or, historically, a single person of higher status.
There would be plenty of smells.
I think what a lot of people forget is that the number of people who have served in the military at every level far, far, exceeds any number of current troops.
And not all of them are exactly happy with the government in general. There’s really no telling where ones allegiance may lie unless or until push comes to shove.
This reminds me of how if you take the concept of Holy War, and remove all the violence, barbarity, horror, and religious aspects it’s just two nerds yelling at each other “That’s not canon!”
But I have to go with @punnyguy on this one.
KJB John 3:7: “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again,” when he’s talking to Nicodemus.
Simply answered in verse 1, “There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.” Jesus was mentioning not only Nicodemus who must be born again, but also every Jew under his rule.
Maybe I identify as they / them bigot. ![]()
Bongino with a pretty bold statement today.
I 100% believe factions of the military would split up in a civil war, and given the original comment sentiment from Bauber on why he would retreat to the ranch, the cultural divide leading to one would be down subcultural lines. The military is largely conservative anyways.
We’ve also see Sheriffs around the country in recent history issue mandates not to prosecute things like 2a amendment laws.
The county our ranch is in, in Texas, planned to deputize every resident at one point to bypass firearm restrictions. And not just for the sake of firearms themselves but to prevent disarmament in what was a larger cultural shift at the time.
There were ranches involved in militias as strategic rally points, warehouses or whatever too. Not just backwoods, made up groups but working with municipal, county and even state officials to organize if necessary, with no shortage of veterans involved, many still “plugged in”.
I think people erroneously view challenges to sovereignty and whatever else as trailer park fantasy when in reality a crushing hand won’t exist if push ever comes to shove. The DEI people lost the military takeover initiative. It won’t be a matter of moonshine distillers with rusty shotguns doing their best against the marine corp.
Yeah, my family has a tradition of military service, and none of them did so to be a pawn of the president at any given time. They did it to serve their country, a concept leftists seem unfamiliar with and somewhat deranged about.
Once broad presidential immunity hit the headlines all of the fearmongering from the left became about “Trump will send SEAL TEAM 6!!! to assasinate Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and Chuck Schumer!!! Aaaaaaagghhhh!!!”. (like unconventional warfare guys are just drones with a pulse??? Wtf?)
The impression I got from news bobbleheads and certain politicians is that they believe that the entire military (and especially SEAL TEAM 6!!!) exist to act as pawns of the president/commander in chief, rather than to protect our nation.
I dunno if thats wishfull thinking or just prohection, but it definitely gives insight into their naieve, fear based, and hate addled minds.
We live in a digital world now. Literally in “the matrix”, and reality left the building. It’s all algorithm driven, created lanes of exposure and experience.
That definitely happened in the 1860s war; I don’t understand why anyone would think it would be different in the future.
