It is not just radical groups. Netanyahu himself has stated that.
That sounds similar to how a majority of Mainers want voter ID and no men in the women’s locker room, but the ruling party disagrees.
I count him as a radical. Netanyahu’s government is not something I approve.
Funny thing is that Netanyahu supported (and funded) Hamas, because it’s the main competitor for Fatah, which Netanyahu feared would get Palestinian state in the West bank with diplomatic/political means.
He learned hard way that he can’t buy ideological fanatics.
You mean the fucking village idiot who can’t even define what a woman is?
Yes.
Having her beside any of the other justices current or past is an absolute travesty regardless of political leaning.
Palestinians are indoctrinated since birth through their upbringing and UNRWA schools funded by our money. They are taught to hate jews, the right of return, to glorify Hitler, among other grotesque things.
Anything other than Muslims running any peace of land there is something they won’t live with.
Bill Clinton, for example, has expressed his frustration when he realized that.
If they had the power, a true genocide would occur.
This definitely fits at least to certain groups there. Not all palestinians though.
There are similar groups within Israel. No holy land should be occupied other than jewish population.
There’s a reason this conflict is old…https://youtu.be/8tIdCsMufIY?si=JEvIVQnayQW_m3Bn
Yes, that is true, but how often do these groups cross over to the other side and murder people indiscriminately? How many of them kill tourists?
They are but a tiny minority and I reckon most Israelites don’t like them.
The supremacist facet of Islam is the main issue here.
Now?
I don’t defend radical islamists among palestinians. I have no side in this conflict.
Just for some stats: Hamas support in Gaza was around 50% before this conflict, it has risen since because of obvious reasons.
I’m neither a jew or a muslim, but I guess I’m a little tired of people acting like the Palestinians are poor peaceful victims who never did anything and some evil Zionists just came from Europe with their guns and took their lands.
I need to note I never said that. I just said that it’s almost impossible to accept what’s going on in Gaza if you have some respect towards humanity.
I don’t defend either side, I see both sides doing atrocities and shitty stuff for decades.
Do I feel more connected to democratic (western) Israel than muslims in that area? Probably yeah. But I judge every party if it’s needed.
Not that impossible for the Palestinians to accept it.
No, tell us. What are the obvious reasons?
Be clear.
Usually when you see your loved ones to die to bombs/starvation you don’t develop love towards the people who are doing it.
Hamas represents only organisation to oppose Israel there, and even that it’s awful (evil) organisation, it’s a force against Israel. Survivors from Gaza are even more potential terrorists now than they were before all this happened.
The latest reports I’ve seen mentioned that support for Hamas has been eroding, also for obvious reasons.
I know, I didn’t mean you specifically.
I will say that it’s difficult not to kill civillians when hospitals and schools are used as military operation headquarters. Almost as if that is the intended result.
Good thing the Nazis never did that, if they did I guess the allies would have had to pack up and go home.
Sure. This was one strategy of Hamas. Not that the Israeli strikes were so targeted all the time. Bombing seem to been quite indiscriminate.
Nazis of course had industry in cities. And allied forces did not go home. I’m sure you guys now that bombing of Hamburg and Dresden are considered as war crimes.
War is hell. I can’t always say what decisions should be made in war, and how much innocent lives should be protected. But there are some lines, not everything should be acceptable.
Interesting. Not that it’s easy to get 100% accurate data from a place like that anyway. One stat I remember few years back said that 70% of Gazans wanted Hamas out of the city.
Well thats an appeal to the obvious.
So palestinians support evil, and that support has increased since they attacked, murdered, and kidnapped a bunch of jews.
Interesting. So they attacked isreal, are experiencing the consequences, and that creates even more terrorists.
Its like they can’t quit while they’re ahead.
Had they not started this shit storm, there would still be peace, and isreal and the world would still be providing infrastructure, billions in financial aid, and humanitarian aid.
Thats pretty fucked up of the palestinians, wouldn’t you say?
Hamas is not Palestine.
With the ones who supported Hamas earlier, this might be true. People aren’t always logical in such situations.
This shitstorm is just one more in the long conflict which is older than you and me combined.
This is the one we’re talking about though. I know that the grievance crowd loves to refer to and revise history, because its hard to claim grievance without provably lying when the people you’re attacking are subsidizing your entire existence, but lets stay in the moment for this one.
Yes it is. And palestine is hamas.
You even said yourself that support increased.
And there at least had been video of big marches both in Gaza and the US with many thousands of people waving banners and chanting exactly that.
True, but one side is completely intransigent while the other is often accomodating.
Look at the status quo in Mount Temple, for instance. Ridiculous.
Oops. Sorry.
I misread that as “Harvard is not Palestine.”.
