Even if you reject “Palestinian nationality”, Palestinians clearly share a common ethnicity, culture, and religion. Genocide applies to ethnic and religious groups not just nationality.

When the POTUS completely shuts down asylum by executive order, for those from below the southern border, I wouldn’t classify that as reasonable discretion. No looking at people as individuals, or their individual circumstances. The criteria upon which people are being rejected with this executive order is where they come from.
Sure, the state can decide that they will use only the country that someone is from as criteria for asylum rejection. That is unreasonable discretion IMO. Also it has quite the look to it, when it happens that the people from countries you block out from asylum are not white, and the people you now extend asylum to are white.
You guys can continue to relitigate subjects we’ve hashed out years ago.

The policy for asylum has reverted to apply befor entry, which it has been previously, as it is an elastic policy.

Our border is our border.
Our immigration policy is just that.
If you apply for asylum at your local or nations US embasy, and it is determined to be valid, it is granted.
If you run the border, you have violated our nations laws.

You don’t really need to guess about South Africa. Just listen to what the politicians are saying, which is “kill the whites”, and look at the government policies being enacted to dispossess them. Again, this is literally the same core idea as the Nazis. Dispossess and persecute an ethnic minority who’ve got lots of stuff by declaring that stuff as ill-gotten gains based on your understanding of history.
It really isn’t complicated, which is part of why I believe it was such an outstanding show of moral leadership. No other countries are touching that one with a 10 foot pole, but Trump totally went there in a very public fashion. Like it or not, that’s moral leadership.

I’m not sure there is a more egregious example on the planet today than South Africa. It’s one of those things that requires no “whataboutism” to justify the actions of the White House today. They are saying it plain as day, over loudspeakers. Not just rabble-rousers, but political leaders and people with actual government authority.

Taking in refugees from there protects those refugees.

It seems that the starvation part will be crucial. Kills were mostly due indiscriminate urban bombing. Which is a war crime, but not a genocide. If they’re really going to keep this situation going, that will count as a massive crime against humanity. People are starving there already.

Also, not sure if you’re aware, but two jewish diplomats were just murdered outside of an even in Washington DC. Very possibly a targeted attack, as the shooter chanted “Free Free Palestine” as he was being taken into custody.
