There was a difference, but it’s not so big as one might think. At least when I compare the situation in Europe now.
There was similar discussion going back then, and USA tightened it’s immigration policies. Not everyone was happy about dirty and poor irish, italians etc. flooding the country, and bringing crime with them.

He has no diagnosis but if you notice the way he “shuffles” about I’m suspecting perhaps a mild case of parkinsons
Should be noted while adderal increases dopamine levels, parkinsons involves a loss of dopamine producing neurons in the brain
I believe they’d have given him a few pep pills by prescription mind you as the USA currently has absurd telehealth clinics dishing out large quantities of stimulants just as pill mills dished out opiates in the 90s

Dementia is truly awful, it’s one of those issues where I genuinely say “if I get this dx, I want a medical will for euthanasia.. even if I can’t consent after I can no longer remember the names of my family/friends” type deal

I think he was more like a puppet while others ran the country and used him to sign official documents and make very limited engagement appearances.

I wonder why the audio from the Hur/Biden interview is being released now. This was the special counsel who was interviewing Biden for his handling of classified documents. It is hard evidence that Biden was not mentally competent while he held office.

Most likely scenario imo -it was a little bit of everything, with the unspoken agreement amongst all concerned that I’ll get my grift, you’ll get your’s, we’ll stay out of each other’s way…plenty of taxpayers’ dollars to be stolen!

The whole concept of “right wing” has been a long term propaganda effort to conflate core American ideas about government with National Socialism.
MAGA is incompatible with all forms of Socialism, but there’s an awful lot of similarities between National Socialism and Democratic Socialism, aka modern Democrats.

Because left and right are meaningless terms now. At one point it was democrats were in favor of bigger government than Republicans. It was simple. Now, a bunch of issues that have zero to do with political policy have become political. Like, I’m all for the 2nd Amendment, which must make me a right wing fascist Trump lover but, I am not in favor of the death penalty, which makes me a bleeding heart woke leftist.
This is the reason that I mostly use them in economical sense.
There’s similar problem with all political terms, they’re always shifting. Neoconservatism has nothing to do with Burkean conservatism. Or modern liberals are quite far away from classical liberalism.
