Generally-speaking, they are a very insular people who handle their own affairs their own way. Of course implementing Sharia through both official and unofficial ways is a political priority.
Where it will be in 20 years in anyone’s guess. Probably similar to the UK, with Maine’s largest cities being majority Muslim or approaching it.
I mean, on a long enough timescale, sure. American society was in no way heading for collapse prior to the incorporation of the major Socialist policies of the last 15 years, specifically DEI, Open Borders, and transgenderism.
If anything, Maine’s aging demographics would’ve had us headed for a real estate and economic slump that would have made it a really attractive place for people to move to, especially with boom in remote work jobs.
There’s the philosophical argument to be made that Socialism is, in fact, a death cult and always has been one. Every instance seems to have that trait of historical accelerationism, brought about through varying social engineering methods. Marx saw the collapse of capitalism as both inevitable and impending, yet here we are in 2025. The workers haven’t seized the means of production in any of their attempts, the proletariat has not thrown off their so-called chains, and life expectancy and social conditions were on an upward trend until the recent re-emergence of his rotten political philosophy in actual public policies, not just the halls of academia.
I think people have way more control than they think, at least when it comes to the political process in the USA. Germany, maybe not so much, since they’re trying to ban the opposition. Again.
Free economy has definitely proven to be more efficient than socialist models, even that we all use parts of both systems, so maybe it’s not a victory, but a fusion.
But it will end at some point most likely, it already has developed a huge dead ends. I Don’t know what will replace it though, nothing good I reckon.

When I was in Rome the last time I went to Seu Pizza Illuminati and they had traditional Neapolitan pizzas but they also had pizzas with pineapple as topping. I had one with octopus and potatoe for topping and it was hands down one of the best pizzas I ever had, and I generally prefer Roman style dough. Fuck ya’ll purists.
