I do have some stringent preferences in the hot/crazy ratio.

Well there were no surprises on the podcast. She is dead serious about everything she wrote. The Secret Service and FBI are aware of her at this point. I’ll be curious what comes out of it.
Man, we had all the modules back in the day. My one buddy was like the librarian of guide books, And had every Conan magazine known to exist at the time. And our DM? An actual wizard. Thanks to The Maine Wire’s reporting, I just remembered that Matt Taibbi exists and I followed him on X. I used to read a bunch of stuff he wrote back in the early '00’s when he was regarded as a left-wing activist. I highly recommend following him, he’s so gen-x it hurts.
Maine’s own swamp creature, “Independent” Senator Angus King, was colluding with then-twitter to censor Mainers. I believe lawsuits are underway, as they should be. I can’t believe I didn’t hear about this at the time.

It is desperately needed. I’m glad they specifically mentioned social and emotional learning, as it is THE priority in Maine, not academics. The job conditions for teachers are terrible right now, in no small part because they are so limited in how they can respond to disorder.
Public education is just a complete mess right now, and we’re piping kids through it to keep our numbers high. More of the same isn’t working and change is needed. Why not try what worked before?
Inability to acknowledge what works.
