Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

They’re implementing trickle down economics amongst the constituency.
Once the reps, congressman, etc. amass enough wealth, they’ll share it with the people of their districts.

Like Nancy Pelosi. Chuck is a political powerball winner too. When they burst like cash filled piñata, everybody gittin rich.

I’d really like to know how you Make a free person in the united states change their vote though .

And if one doesn’t, what are the consequences?

I’m not a dog, but boy, if I heard that whistle, somebody would be getting bit!

Its there. To the extent anyone broke the law during BLM they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and not pardoned by the president of the US (something biden didnt do I might add)

uhhh get voted out of office? I know they slowed the audio, zoomed in, and then went to black and white but surely you dont mean that to claim he is calling for violence??

Doesnt this kind of shoot a hole in the theory that the flood of migrants the dems “let in to vote for them” is, at best, best on shoddy reasoning with little connection to reality?

There should have been 10-15 million more democrat votes if that was the case right?

Regardless of how you feel about the border, and im fine with closing it, this replacement theory type stuff is massively, massively overblown in my opinion (as are almost all the right wing culture war stuff)

Or did we recently just learn from the last election that Hispanics are increasingly conservative voting… Meaning the hispanics we had let in would actually be very likely to vote conservative, wouldnt they?

He had a pretty deep lineup of preemptive pardons to sign.

The peacefull protesters though, hell, they didn’t need pardoned. Majority weren’t even charged, and the ones that were got walked by the DA’s. They even had legal defense funds started by prominent politicians!

Thats exactly it. He says they’re going to the republicans districts.

You don’t vote for representation Not in your district.

But you can go to republican districts to commit violence/voter intimidation.

No, it doesn’t. As I recall commenting about at the time, many entire states were sending unrequested mail-in voting ballots to every single person on the voter rolls in 2020. This introduced a massive number of voting instruments that the Democrats made sure were used.

That “pandemic measure” wasn’t in effect in 2024, although I’m sure many mail-in shenanigans still went down.

You’re going to have a REALLY hard time convincing someone who has been the only person in line to vote who didn’t need a translator when our city council president and and school superintendent were literally shuttling migrants to the polls all day, all first-time voters who decided to participate in round 3 of a single-question ballot with an up or down vote for the school budget.

I guess it’s possible those guys all probably passed their citizenship tests, and I’m just being racist. Just like how I’m racist for thinking that registering to vote with a signed affidavit requiring no documentation isn’t a reliable test for voter eligibility.

Maine Democrats certainly want people to have that idea about people like me. Up here I’m a Nazi to some.

I totally get not believing me. I have family who flat-out told me they didn’t believe me.

How could they be? They were never charged.

Multiple cities with “peaceful protests” that resulted in violence and the destruction of public/private property, including arson, looting, and the assaulting of police officers. Yet, those involved were either not arrested or arrested and immediately released.

Why?

Anyone is allowed to march/gather wherever they want. I can send a letter to a senator in Wisconsin if I want… I dont live there so they are free to ignore me, but I can do it. Likewise I can go camp outside their office and hold signs and bring a group of 10 of my friends, none of whom live there… again they are free to ignore it.

I am often invited to attend marches in my home state in areas I do not have voting power because numbers and visiblity matter.

But simply organizing events to pressure politicians to vote a certain way is not nefarious to me in the slightest, and the video you showed me above does not indicate to me in any way he was talking about committing violence.

Youd have to ask those cities or the DOJ at the time. But for me personally im completely in favor of their prosecution and fitting imprisonment, with no chance of a pardon from the president for the acts they committed, just like for the people who committed actual, real crimes at the capital on J6.

But the idea that Persons XYZ didnt get punished for their crimes means Perons ABC also get to get away with it is not something I believe personally. If you commit the crime, you do the time, regardless of political leaning or reason. I would have thought this was fairly uncontroversial.

Well, how do you MAKE somebody change their vote?

And if they don’t, what are the CONSEQUENCES ?

I’m putting emphasis on those words because I don’t see how, in a free country, one could do that without some form of coercion, nor do I see any citizen who has not been duly sworn to a position which enables it as one who can impose consequence upon another.

Are you seriously arguing that Democrats have been the party of peace and understanding during the Trump era?

I feel like I answered this, but ill try again

They are going to organize in person to inform the representative that if they vote a certain way they are at risk of the consequnce, which is being voted out of office

Trump does this all the time on twitter. He will pressure a politician to vote for the thing he wants or he will support an opponent during the next primary. This is literally the exact same thing. Vote this way or I will organize people to vote you out.

I think you are taking the word “make” too literally, as in physically force.

Did I say that somewhere?

It seems like you’re implying it, yes. That’s what I’m gathering from your line of thought.

You’re citing Trump using peaceful, long-established political pressure methods as if it is a bad thing. All he’s saying is that his message and popularity have influence at all levels, and he’s right.

I think you might benefit from considering the possibility that everything I’ve described in this thread about Maine is accurate, and not some right-wing delusion. Make sure you’re getting your information from multiple sources. Your notion that many officers were killed on JANUARY SIXTH!!! suggests to me that you don’t often step outside of the Democrat narrative bubble.

I’m only gonna go round this circle once more.

You can’t vote for people outside of your voting district.

I don’t vote yours in, you don’t vote mine in. Cuz we’re in two different districts.

Given the history of events in the past 10 years or so, and the mele mouthed politicians that continue to agitate, I am taking it exactly as literally as anybody of sound mind should.

Have you seen the Tesla cars burning and owners being attacked in traffic lately?

Thats real. I don’t need a brick upside the head to start believing that when politicians call for violence and use fighting words, and people start fighting and burning stuff (and of course, the swastikas)- They Mean What They’re Saying!

Lets say you have a friend that lives one town over, which happens to be another voting district… They say “hey Skyzyk, do you mind coming to a protest at my representatives office to influence them to vote for measure X? The bigger the crowd the better”

Do you understand that you are able to go to that event, even if you dont live there and cant vote for them?

For what its worth I have never doubted you about your statements about Maine

Yes, but your previouse statements were predicated upon voting someone out of office as a consequence.

Now that we’ve established that one can only vote for representation in their own district, it seems we’re back to the Making part.

Protests such as those don’t really hold sway with me.

That doesn’t even get a blip on my make-o-meter.

But yes. I do understand that.

Now, Arson! Arson and vandalism does get a blip on my make-o-meter. Cuz that is political violence and coercion.

Now, I’m pretty confident that you don’t condone this type of act, and I certainly won’t ask for an apology you don’t owe.
But I do believe that this growing body of context substantiates my position on the meaning of the word “Make” and how it was used.

Fair enough. I personally think you are being a bit hyperbolic and pedantic, but I see your logic and how you got there. I’ll make you a promise, when Schumer leads a fire bombing campaign I will be the first to call for his resignation and arrest, and will not support a pardon of any type for him

Thanks. I’m sharing them with my brothers in iron here for a reason. Even the sisters who lurk. I like you guys.

I think it is reasonable for you to consider that much worse and more is happening elsewhere. I certainly do, even though I can’t explain it like what’s going on here.

Aside from me living here and making local politics a hobby and passion, Maine is a VERY good example to be zeroing in on during Trump 47. There’s an old saying that I no longer believe to be true, but it went something like “As goes Maine, so goes the nation.”.

It’s also a much smaller state than most blue states, population-wise, so it’s easy to keep track of most big events. I’ve actually met both of our last governors, and a lot of other politicians. I suspect every Lewiston politician reads me at this point. Not here, but over there.

My hope is that in five or six years I’ll be writing essays explaining how Trump’s counter-revolution has gone too far, and we need to fund this or that better.

And I’ll hold you to it!

On pedantry- I consider myself more pragmatic than pedantic, which is why, knowing this is a top down strategy- I can tell you that Schumer will be far from the fray and have no need for a pardon, nor would he want one.

pragmatic meaning Google Search

:man_shrugging:t2:. Maybe a little bit of both.
