It seems that at least some money has disappeared to Ukraine’s inner corruption. This seems to be quite common with all monetized aid everywhere, sadly so.
That’s why I support direct aid (weapons, medicine etc.) instead of money.

For sure, but the sophistication and scale of this has really only been possible in the last couple of centuries when entire states began organizing fighting forces. Feudal warlords didn’t need to go to the same lengths to hide it, or worry about winning elections.
Databases that have only existed in the last 60 years or so have taken the whole art of graft to new heights. Accounting tricks are much older, surely going back as far as the concept of “the books” has been in play. I imagine there’s some funny accounting that can be found on clay tablets from Mesopotamia.
As far as direct aid, those material goods can also be sold off instead of sent to the front lines. That’s nothing new either, but the trench warfare and relatively stable battle lines in Ukraine allows more if it to happen without putting the people doing it in actual danger.
If we compare the situation to US lend/lease to Soviets beginning in 1941, the ENTIRE nation of The Soviet Union was on death ground, backed up by an entire state apparatus to ensure people stayed in the meat grinder. A comrade who was caught selling US rations, gasoline or boots for personal profit was probably a dead man.
In Ukraine, the crooks can party and live in opulence while the dying happens far, far away.

It’s impossible to say how much was lost tp corruption though. Since getting Soviet data from those things is practically impossible.

It was “perfectly legal” for Henry Ford to do business in Nazi Germany through his German subsidiaries, even after it declared war on the USA. He was even using slave labor in his German factories.
As I mentioned above, my signature is on a purchase order buying titanium tubing from VSPMO’s Ukrainian subsidiary, which was doing business in Ukraine after Russia invaded.
For an example of USA propaganda, I JUST heard the following statement on NPR (Our state funded radio).
Paraphrasing, “The Trump administration has threatened to decrease aid to our allies in Europe, including Ukraine.”
They are very hard at work to give people the impression that Ukraine is an ally.

I remember that in 1ww Britain had at time shortages from certain artillery shells, because some english companies were secretly selling them to Germans (because they paid more).

As far as Mexico goes, I really like what this Administration is doing and how they are doing it. Our neighbors need the help too. It’s a serious situation for anyone who has to live with rampant crime and corruption.
I’ll begin to grow concerned if Vance starts saying “They will welcome us as Liberators” while wearing a sombrero.
It seems like all of the theatrical nonsense we’ve been being fed for generations is losing it’s power to shape our reality.

Yes, looks silly. Scandinavian schooling system focuses generally a lot to maths, writing, literature and all the typical stuff.
Emotional learning has it’s place too, but it does not compete with the basic learning.
Race really do not have place in european rhetorics, like mentioned before.
It goes even further. Many school districts are attempting to put “health clinics” on school property that would be empowered to dispense psychiatric drugs and “gender affirming” hormones to students without parental knowledge or consent.
Just last night in Gardiner, a town about 30 minutes north of me, there was a rowdy school committee meeting on this very issue.
Public education in Maine is much worse than anything dystopian science fiction authors have ever dreamed up. Not even the psychedelic visionaries of the 1960s were dreaming up anything this bad.
Maine used to lead in education, consistently ranking in the top 1 or 2 states in the 1990s, according to the NAEP. We are now among the worst. We are graduating functionally illiterate students with no mathematical abilities who know nothing of history.
Social arsonists is what these Democrats are, as are all types of Socialists.
Maybe the people who are wrong about everything will be right about something one day.

American schools have sent teachers to Finland to see first hand how education works there. These teachers come back and tell them what they learned but none of it is ever implemented.
