No. Value leeches are real, it’s just unconfirmed if they actually gain energy from sucking yours dry.
I don’t think you’ve read enough, nor have I, as we can look to all kinds of cultural masterpieces of fiction as lenses to view our modern world through. Tolkien just happens to provide a particularly clear lens.
Marx remains one of the most popular authors of that type, and is certainly one of the most ambitious in his vision. Dialectical materialism is kind of like the Dungeons and Dragons of political philosophy, in that it allows for unlimited freedom of play. As evidence, I present reality in 2025.
You “synthesize” both the thesis and antithesis, until you somehow talk yourself into being God, capable of delivering something like “social justice”. It necessitates an embrace of contradiction that leads to nowhere at best, but usually somewhere worse. It is a massively complicated bundle of impractical nonsense, even if he had some perfectly valid criticisms of the status quo.
I am certain that zecarlo is a member of this cult because he never states a clear opinion, but always insists that there is an alternative to the “binary I am trapped in”. He never names what that alternative actually is, leaving it open to interpretation, but implies that he’s discovered a sort of “synthesis” that transcends the binary of the thesis and antithesis he believes I am trapped in.
But hey, what do I know? I am but a high school graduate, with no impressive credentials from any notable institutions of higher learning. I’m just a guy.
That whole socialist cult, whatever formal name you want to give it, is that manifestation of Melkor and Sauron. Subvert, deceive, control, destroy, or some combination thereof is how the whole thought process ends.

Back on topic, this $500 billion Stargate LLC AI infrastructure initiative is a fascinating soap opera to follow, with obvious serious implications for, yes, the very future of mankind.
The MSM pathetically tried to point to Musk’s disapproval of this project as a potential wedge between the Trump/Musk alliance. Trump understands people, and laughed it off as Musk hating Altman, the OpenAI CEO (most tech bros seem anti-Altman as well).
Well, Musk is now leading a consortium of investors to buy Open AI for $98 billion (during his spare time when not doing DOGE), which Altman immediately rejected. Altman wants to turn nonprofit OpenAI into a for profit Open AI (no conflict there lol), which is the main stated reason for the anti-Altman folks.
Soap opera to continue.

I think we will experience a difficult to comprehend series of soap operas for at least the next two years.
I try not to be too hyperbolic, but if Trump continues to do what he said he will, and DOGE continues to deliver W’s, we are in for a political reordering unlike anything seen in my lifetime.
Imagine how mad you would be if you watched your child get gunned down by a mass murderer, then a multi-million dollar nonprofit raised a bunch of funds on the back of your grief and distributed it to people who had nothing to do with the horrific event.
That’s the kind of rage I think we’re going to begin to see, and I hope it comes for every swamp creature who has done shit like this. These grifters are already in the clear with Maine’s Attorney General, but they aren’t in the clear with the people of Lewiston.
The swamp creatures tried to kill Trump, failed, and now MAGA has actual levers of power. I realize that’s scary for some normal people who just want the best. Levers of power are scary no matter who has them.

You really are obsessed with me and what I believe. If you had been paying attention you would have an idea but if someone says anything negative about Trump, you can’t get past it. So you construct this bogeyman narrative based on your own needs. You call me a socialist yet provide no evidence. If anything I’ve criticized it on here. You call me woke, yet I have been ranting against it for years here. You say I don’t lift, yet how would you know this given I never said that? You just made all of this up and when asked for my posts to back these claims up, you fail to do provide any. Andrew even found a post from me where I show myself to be the opposite of what you claim. Just show my woke and socialist posts otherwise it means you are simply a weirdo with two obsessions: me and Trump.

I wouldn’t say alt-right as I see that as a term invented to label people negatively and dismiss any arguments, like calling someone a racist or, in twojar’s playbook, calling them a socialist.
But, you might be right about the rest. When you see the government waste, in different manifestations, and the general stupidity, dimwittedness, cowardice, weakness, all seven deadly sins, of a significant number of people, you do come up with some very “conservative” ideas on how to manage the latter to reduce the former.
Let me get this one right…

I just explained how I was able to infer this about you, and you have a decade of posts exhibiting that exact behavior. You always go back to the notion that people like me are trapped in a political “binary” that you have somehow transcended by synthesizing all of the contradictory positions into your political ideas, which you have never once explained but imply are correct at all times.
That’s Marx’s dialectical materialism right there dude, or some other off-shoot. Many people with many terrible ideas have embraced the dialectic over the years. Giovanni Genitle, philosophical founder of Italian Fascism, can also be traced to Hegel’s dialectic, which Marx “reimagined” into his version. Hitler went on and on about transcending the left-right binary and synthesizing incompatible positions, too. Stalin wrote a whole book about the dialectic.
What branch of the dialectic cult you are a member of is irrelevant to me. You reek of it, even if you are confused about your own political ideas and cannot describe them in as clear of terms as I can.
When I call someone a socialist I can explain clearly what I mean, as I just did. Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, probably is a duck.
Socialists lie all the time, about nearly everything, all as a product of Marx’s dialectic that produces the twisted reasoning that brings about so much bad public policy.
The kind of not-so-subtle and nasty posts he makes about people could certainly give people that impression, but those shallow thoughts are also perfectly compatible with Democratic Socialism and other philosophical off-shoots.
