Your doctor would most likely just say yes and change your prescription. Im not a medical profesional who can give you this kind of advice. The only thing that Im trying to prevent you from experiencing are the inevitable side effects like ED, loss of libido, which is something that will compound your issues. I would simply work on getting off the meds and focus on coping with the issues. I know that life seems real tough but you’re building a home while others have literally no home. Im currently here in LA and the homeless take zanies to ease the pain, and Im now Im witnessing someone like yourself taking zanies to ease the pain. Its bonkers. Its only two months to prove that you can be a strong man, plus you’re on TRT. That should be one way to help you regain your confidence and strength. Wake up early, leave before everyone and come home once its close to bed time. Dont complicate your life and make this all about you. Its happening to everyone. One of the biggest problems Ive encountered with parents who have terminally ill children is that they somehow believe that its happening to them. When in reality its the child who is suffering and going though the real physical pain. Detach yourself from that nonsense and focus on building your home and dont fuck up. Taper down your use and stop looking for magic carpets to float you away. Now go talk to your doc and tell him you want off, and start hitting the steel, in two months you will be a better man who beat his demons, built a house and learned to cope.
I’m on your line of thinking, believe me. I even hate being on TRT and go back and forth getting off that which I did and I felt awful again, got chubby and saggy eyes, went back on it and I still have doubts though I think it helps plenty. I already deal with ED but recently even when I try to jerk off I can’t get as hard as I used to before Xanex now that you say that. Will Zoloft have the same effect you think? Either way I need to get off of X but doing it cold turkey sounds dangerous. The good news I’ve been on it 2 months and not 2 years. Just want to land safely off of it. I should add it helps me a lot with sleep so I need something to get that done for me as well or else I’ll struggle to get the rest needed which sleep is proven to be a stronger drug than anything you can take or inject.
What is your protocol?
.2.5 of test Cyp 200 MG (50 mg) Every 3 days
Well, Im gonna say that you are taking a rather small amount that is prolly making you feel the way you are. I would raise the T dose and start lowering the Xanax dose. 150mg a week would help with a great deal of issues you are experiencing. I usually take 160mg and when I want to feel amazing I take 220mg/wk. You will notice the jump and your body could simply make the decision for you and lead you to peace of mind. Up your dose my dude!
What o worry about is my edge. The more I take the more prickly I am. I thought 100 mg a week was average to decent amount?
100mg is what some take, but does it give you symptom resolution? I know that when I make a change its going to be a couple of weeks of fluctuating and it can be a weird but gotta pull through and then the goodness kicks in. 150mg/wk is not pushing it. I dont know man, more T could resolve your issues. Just dont focus on the first couple of weeks
Concerned the higher the T the more of a dick I am
You have to experiment, and aim for symptom resolution so that you dont have depend on Xanax. You’re already hard to live with. Take more T and steer clear from the inlaws. Simple
Thanks for going back and forth with this! I appreciate the candor and feedback. To be honest TRT long term still scares the shit out of me. If I wasn’t so uncertain of the long term, I’d experiment a lot more. The current dose seems moderate and nothing too crazy but to your point going to 150 is probably average. I’ll have to think on it for sure. First task is to get Xanex off my schedule. Current plan is 1mg tonight, .5 tomorrow, .5 Tuesday then see the doc Wed. Go from there then yea tackle my TRT protocol. I want to see a specialist but they are so damn expensive so I’ve stuck with my physician
These kind of need to be here in my opinion. it’s notoriously difficult to get a script for medicinal cannabis conventionally over here, there’s no reason someone with MS suffering from debilitating, intractable spasticity (not adequately treated with say… baclofen) should have to wait six months for a cannabis prescription! Though this is dependant on the state, I don’t believe it’s particularly difficult to get MMJ in my state, as a matter of fact I believe I’d easily qualify but have no interest in doing so as cannabis totally kills my motivation to do… anything.
I’d try CBD if I knew for sure it wouldn’t give me a false positive on the drug wipe tests police conduct randomly and have even continually conducting during this lockdown. Apparently it’s too dangerous to leave the house for non essential reasons, but it isn’t too dangerous to handle saliva from random people?
Then I’m sure there is a demographic who go to the clinics for a legal script because they like weed (look at the ausents subthreddit). Should be noted with Australia’s draconian laws on driving medicinal cannabis users aren’t allowed to drive, even if they’ve dosed days ago and aren’t currently impaired. I don’t think it’s worth it unless you’re debilitated/bed ridden and other medications aimed at treating your condition aren’t tolerated. From a legal standpoint/relating to civiil liberties you are better off just using narcotics/benzodiazepines and tranquillisers for pain/spasticity because at the very least you’re theoretically allowed to drive on them without risking a 3-6 month loss of license, 1000$ fine and permeant record with the police.
Waitttt wait wait. Police are going around to random houses and doing saliva tests for marijuana in Australia? That’s insane even without the whole pandemic thing going on. Factoring that in… it should be criminal.
No such thing as medical marijuana over here. You walk into the store and buy whatever you want. No middleman doctor. Those days are over.
Not houses, setting up roadblocks next to residential neighbourhoods. Pulling you over in your car and test you at random (though sometimes it isn’t random and they test everyone). These tests are typically set up in the middle of large roads, so they can create quite a backlog if they decide to test everyone).
They don’t test got impairment though, they test for whether you’ve done it in the past few days. If you’ve got even the slightest trace you lose your license for 3-6 months, incur a 1000$ + fine etc.
No probable cause is required to conduct these tests. In some towns like Shepparton these tests return a 10% + positive rate.
They also check for ice and MDMA, but not cocaine, ketamine, heroin etc.
They’ve been doing this for years and the yearly test quota shoots up every year. Unlike implementing random breath testing, this initiative has had no impact or correlation with road fatality rates.
That’s because this program has nothing to do with getting drug drivers off the streets, getting behind the wheel impaired is actually a separate offence to testing positive on one of these test that carries a far harsher penalty. This regime is arguably about revenue and prohibition.
Imagine getting a DUI for having a drink last week! Another qualm I have with the testing is that it’s not even able to accurately detect intoxication if a given substance has JUST been abused. There was a study that came out last year showing these tests come up with a false negative 16% of the time when a subject is actually under the influence.
The majority of these tests appear aimed at weeding out those who have used cannabis in the past week or so, this is the most widely used substance and the window of detection appears far longer than that if MDMA and ice. It costs roughly 30$ to administer one of these tests, seems like a massive waste of time and resources during lockdown…
I’d prefer they did it like they do in NZ. They have the random testing on roadsides, but to fail a test you purportedly need to fail one of the drugwipe tests (looking for a trace) AND fail a roadside sobriety test. Australia is the only secular democratic country I know of wherein you can be harshly penalized/given a DUI for smoking weed days ago.
This includes medicinal cannabis btw. If you’re on medicinal cannabis it’s essentially illigal to drive even if you haven’t taken a dose recently/are using predominantly CBD tincture with a trace of THC. Interesting as the ACT has legalised possession and growth of cannabis for personal use, though the random testing laws haven’t changed.
All of this is completely insane. I honestly thought Australia was better about stuff like this… I guess I should be glad it’s at least legal in like half of the US now and moving towards the possibility of federal legalization. I’m aghast at how insane testing like that is, it’s mind boggling. I know our politics and drug war are f’ed up, but this is on a totally different level of stupidity
Gotta love the good ole US of A
