Damnit that sucks to hear. I hope you find a solution soon. It sounds like you need more than a clinic. A doc who will investigate not prescribe.
No, Iāve never been on any antidepressants or other meds before TRT. I have thought that dopamine may have played a part in how I felt too. Why? Nobody knows. Defy is cutting edge when it comes to HRT, but overall when it comes to hormones and nurotransmitters science has a long way to go.
Itās hard for me to give you advice. I wish I could. I can tell you I felt like shit 8 weeks in, and I felt like shit 14 months in. Sure I felt a little better here and there, usually when making adjustments. But the wheels just always seemed to fall off after a month or two on a protocol. I never felt as good as I did before or after TRT.
I wouldnāt pay too much attention to those timelines for the symptoms you have now. If you feel like shit at 6-10 weeks, itās not working. I spent 3-4 months on several protocols listening to that shit.
8 weeks isnāt a long time. There are a lot of variables and an infinite number of protocols you can try. It all comes down to how much willpower, money and time you want to spend.
I wish you nothing but the best man, I know how tough it is.
My chief criticism so far as that they acted like they never encountered anyone with my complaints and they had no explanation for my symptoms. For how much money I pay for their services I expected better than so many questionmarks.
14 months? Thats a long time to go without getting answers. They didnt have any suggestions for you? What do you mean by the wheels falling off? The same symptoms would reappear?
Their main focus is on treating hypogonadism and thyroid disorders using protocols and meds that most doctors wonāt prescribe. Theyāll get you on a protocol to optimize those hormones quickly. They know what works for most guys. When those labs are in check and seemingly optimal itās hard to know which direction to head. I understand your complaint though, had they told me that I would have been irritated too.
They recommend L-Tyrosine, a dopamine precursor. I had doubts, so in all honesty I didnāt try it. Iāve wasted so much money on supplements that havenāt done anything.
I mean that when I would change my protocol, I would feel a little better but not great and think I was headed in the right direction. Then it would come crashing down and the symptoms would come back.

I started trt to find libido, specifically to help arousal (my bodies ability to respond to sexual stimulationā¦erection, flushing, that āneedā for release.
Iāve tried different protocols and nothing seems to help with arousal. I believe I have libido (looking at women. Wanting to desire sex). But when with my gf, there is little arousal for some reason.
Iāve tried Wellbutrin at varying amounts. The only time I felt something was 10 days in on 100SR. All afternoon I was aroused. I couldnāt get sex out of my mind and my body was responding to those thoughts. That glorious feeling lasted one afternoon.
I have also tried buspar, which did a similar thing, but was short lived as well. The body does an excellent job doing whatever it wants regardless of what pharms you may try.
Iāve tried higher levels of test and I can get a great muscular response. But not much in terms of arousal. I did feel a little something on 300mg test every two weeks protocol, but it was short lived and likely e2 ruined it.
Iām about ready to break up with my gf. I canāt keep acting like Iām aroused. Viagra is great but Iām consuming it way too much. This all makes me incredibly depressed bc relationships probably just arenāt something Iām going to be able to have in my life.
Iāve been on for 3 months and the lethargy is horrible. Hot and cold sweats at times. Will this get better? I assume I just became completely shut down. Should I try HCG?
Was you lethargic without HCG?
Whatās your protocol now? T only or T and an AI
Start your own thread with some labs, donāt hijack.
When did I hijack you? Thought so
OP is @dasein You hijacked him. Donāt be a dick.
Actually youāre the dick!
Youāre posting the same personal issue on multiple threads, of other people. I am letting you know that etiquette on here he is to start your own thread. It will also get you more and better responses because people will see it, instead of missing it in the middle of a thread they arenāt reading because itās about something else. You want to be a dick, thatās up to you.
@dasein
Hello man. Iām also following Defy guidance for different treatments and Im happy with them, but I have some reservations that I will not share here.
@dextermorgan can attest that your t levels of 800 and 21 might be totally not enough and your estrogen seems too low. It doesnt seem you need any AI. Also HCG makes many people feel terrible, unfortunately.
