TRT, HCG, and DHT

i do have both. RC Exem and Pharmacy Rx Anastrazole.

I just recieved the latter after requesting it from my doc. It is only 0.125 mg per pill so i have been doing some homework on conversions since i was taking 6.25 mg of exem 3 x per week … and i was unsure how much anastroz compared to this.

i was told 12.5 mg Exem = 0.5 mg of Anastroz … so now that i have that i will use this.

However … just to play devils advocate. I was under thr assumption any AI could potentially hurt your hair since the conversion to Estrogen is block, so the body “does anything it can” to get rid of the Test … and the only thing it can do is convert to DHT… and the DHT surge affects the hair.

I am glad to hear your hair has done well on Anastrozonol and i am going to make the switch… but does this make sense to you? did you experience any hair loss before TRT or during a cycle?

I would like to hear from others who have tried both

E2 conversion is not motivated by some physiological attempt to get rid of testosterone at all costs. It’s about the body trying to reach equilibrium in ratios, and the ratios have been off for a while. Anastrozole shouldn’t cause any hair loss due to excess DHT conversion.

I do wonder if crashing E2 could cause it though, not in MPB sense but just in general. Similar to extreme lack of some nutrients can cause hair loss.

A really high fever can trigger fairly massive hair loss 2 or 3 months later, so who knows. But at least with the fever as a cause it grows back.

Yeah, as I would imagine replacing the missing nutrient or crashed E2 would do the same eventually.

i had a mystery illness about 2 years ago. Really bad fever … I think combined with age, it knocked down my ability to recover and likely did something to screw up either my hormones or my immune system and its been a slow steady path back to normal

You are absolutely correct. An ai can cause hair loss you are essentially putting a plug(the ai) on one metabolite pathway(T-E2) and so more T will shuttle towards the other pathway (T-DHT) causing an excessive androgen:E2 ratio.

Trt without hCG sucks balls, trt with hCG is ok but hCG without trt is the best ime. I came off trt and will never go back unless I have too, would rather do hCG or clomid mono-therapy. Trt by itself was cool for maybe a month, then libido turned into meh, occasional ed, off and on soft boners except when I woke up. Recovery after cumming took hours when it used to be minutes, sensitivity decreased. AI made no difference, maybe decreased sensitivity even further, ejaculate volume/pressure decreased, eventually lost morning wood as well, oh and I thought at first I had no atrophy but later I realized I did and was confirmed. Adding hCG greatly improved everything, much closer to feeling normal. Then when I stopped trt and was on high dose hCG phase I felt WAY better than I ever did on trt. Only place trt/exogenous T was superior was in the gym/strength, other than that meh, hCG gives me crazy libido and boners so hard they hurt, in a good way.

Regarding atrophy, not always easy to tell by just looking, can be 5-10% which isn’t very noticeable especially if they’re on the bigger side.

what was your trt and hcg protocol initially?

Just goes to show everyone is different. HCG did nothing for me except maintain ball size.

Well I started trt without hCG, was on 200mg bi-weekly, eventually got them to let me do my own shot so I did 100mg weekly. The hCG I started 12 months into trt, I initially did 500iu eod or 3x/wk, then I basically did anywhere from 250-350iu 3x/wk mwf. I stopped trt tho, will be 8 weeks on Monday, so I was on trt and a few cycles for 20 months. Atm I’m on just hCG and a low dose serm, eventually going on just serms and pct off to see if I can recover now that I’m a bit healthier than I was when I started trt.

True, some people feel nothing or even feel like crap on hCG, others like myself feel better with it. I’ve had better positive effects from hCG than any aas I’ve tried, not in terms of strength or physique but libido, mood etc were better with hCG.

interesting … i wonder why hcg affects everyone so differently?
