Been to the ER four time already this week, they ran an iron test again and it’s not available till Monday or Tuesday. I believe the problem is the doctors can’t see the problem therefore believe it doesn’t exist.
The ringing in my ears is constant, the burning is variable but happens almost all of the time, the vision changes occur at night where things look blurry and the bone pain and or lower jawbone and teeth hurt like hell.
I believe every doctor I’ll end up seeing will not doing anything because they can’t see anything, other than the iron labs. A hematologists remotely looked at my previous iron labs from Tuesday and stated it look erroneous and in error.
My thinking is maybe the labs looks different when the patient is on TRT versus having natural production since the hormone profiles are so different. My health is sliding into danger and I feel like doctors aren’t listening.
My blood pressure was all over the place last night and woke up to heart ardhmes.
I had to stop TRT do to edema issues that have gotten out of control for reasons unknown, swelling of the face, jaw, belly and legs. I didn’t have these problems the first two years on TRT. Something is causing multiple vitamin deficiencies and edema.
I think whatever cause my low testosterone is back to finish the job.
No the symptoms continue although not nearly as bad, but still suffering. Now testosterone in declining to 100-200 ranges and will be zero within 1-2 weeks.
My GP told me maybe TRT doesn’t agree with me anymore, the lack of understanding by my doctors is infuriating me. It seems they are unaware of the health consequences of very low testosterone and seem unsympathetic.
Kaiser doctors are not allowed to consult with doctors outside of Kaiser, they simply refer to the endocrinology department which really doesn’t know jack about TRT.
There is a reason why the onset of symptoms has progressed in such a short amount of time. I have never felt this sensation in my mid section before and I believe I will eventually run into problems even though I’m not on TRT.
I believe my aortic valve if defective and too narrow, if so my belly would appear bloated but in reality my aortic valve cannot pass sufficient blood through easily causing it to pulsate and bloat the belly.
The ER kept telling my I’m just bloated, but it was disrupting blood flow throughout my body, pure speculation on my part but it can only be so many things causing this to happen, In theory this blood flow problem can cause edema is blood flow is not restored.
Knowing that you have Kaiser explains why you hate doctors so much. LOL. They suck. I am concerned for you man. Are they going to a do a contrast dye test or anything? You are prime age for heart issues, I am basically your age, so that’s a little scary. I wold think that they’d be in a hurry to do an echo-cardiogram or ultrasound just to rule stuff out.
Hey all. I know this is an old thread, however, I have been scouring the forums looking for answers because I have these exact symptoms with TRT and any anabolic for that matter. I did get tested once after experiencing severe fatigue, loss of libido, swelling, mental fog etc that began after taking some UGL “anavar.” My iron levels were doubled or tripled from what I remember. I stopped the pills and testosterone and symptoms eventually resolved. Fast forward a few years and now I find the same symptoms occurring with TRT. I have not had a repeat iron panel drawn but will request it. After experiencing the increased iron I made it a habit to donate blood every 8 weeks and I did not have symptoms again until a few months ago this year. I attribute this to stopping blood donations in January of this year due to a change in my schedule. I hope to resume the donations to see if my symptoms resolve.
TRT does not cause Iron overload. I have the Hemochromatosis mutation and store more iron that normal. Also men naturally store more iron in our blood since we do not bleed every month etc. I donate blood every 6 weeks no matter what my labs say as a preventative measure etc
