It’s just frustrating to see someone who will need TRT for life. A doctor wants to do this and suggests a less than optimal solution.
Jsut remember hormones are a newish therapy. Majority of doctors have a slight idea of what they are doing, and very few actually educate themselves further on the subject.
The cypionate packaging says inject once every two weeks. Why? Because they don’t want to be held liable for any issues that supposedly can come from trt. There was a time where lawyers were going after doctors and pharmacies for men who died from heart attacks and etc while on trt. This goes for all meds. Save themselves from law suits. Essentially making it so that nobody who properly takes cypionate can sue the pharma company Becusse Everyone will take it once weekly when they realize the half life.
What they don’t tell you is the doctors were not responsible. They did not manage nor ask the right questions before starting. For example some men have a rare condition where they over produce red blood cells and when HCT rises their blood becomes very thick. They have deadly issues if not caught. A simply blood test would of caught this.
They blame trt and doctors for this. Yet it’s just malpractice and poor oversight. Lawyers wanna make money.
Other men have gyno and when they get on Trt they blame the doc for not telling them “trt causes gyno”. What they don’t tell you is gyno is genetic and due to an imbalance of hormones. You either have it or not. Trt simply amplifies am already existing condition.
Let me ensure there are endocrinologist doctors who prescribe one shot of long ester testosterone every two weeks. Mine did and others still do.
Yes, had low T and was prescribed 100mg every two weeks initially. I never followed that protocol. I went right to 200 every week.
The example I gave above was something I did to see the difference at the very beginning of the two weeks between shots and the very last day of the two weeks.
Understand that was an experiment to see the effects of taking a larger test dose once every two weeks. I had no issues at all.
I currently take 200mg every week in case you were concerned. I have a pretty good idea of what I’m doing. Been doing it for 6 years. But I have experimented to see the effects.
Yes, I have a thought. Once every two weeks isn’t a good idea.
100 mg per week does the job for most.
It just didn’t make sense to me. Good for you man. Sounds like you have trt working for you.
What are the specs on your pituitary Adenoma? Size, secreting, non-secreting? I’m surprised no one here asked for your labs. Lot of moving parts indeed, what was your LH,FSH,IGF-1,Prolaction, ACTH, TSH?
I hope that they’re able to remove the tumor without losing your pituitary, otherwise you’ll need to replace many hormones.
Yes, and urologists and PCPs as well. Their patients are pleased with the results. It would be interesting to have some numbers, but I imagine there are as many patients taking testosterone under the care of those doctors as there are using TRT clinics. Maybe more. It is not the best way to take it, but good enough that they pay and continue with their doctor.
I do know someone who works in a urology practice. She told me that Friday is the big day for guys wanting to come in for their shots, for some reason………………
