TRT-Brevard County Area

Just gave myself another shot. A steady stream of large bubbles came from the membrane area of the bottle when I turned it upside down. Enough that they formed a layer of bubbles on top of the oil. I don’t think I want to use that bottle again.

So you’re increasing your Test Cyp from 200mg/wk to 300mg per week?

I’ve had this explained to me now, and I was prescribed .5ml x2/week, which I’ve just learned is exactly what Tallyho_bitches said. This is why insurance denied me, it’s above what the FDA recommends, according to the appeals lady from my insurance company.

However, until I can get something that doesn’t cause huge red, painful welts, I need to stop. I want to try grapeseed oil, but there aren’t any compounding pharmacies near here that make it. One pharmacist said he didn’t think anyone in the county. It was suggested I contact the Florida Board of Pharmacy for information on compounding pharmacies in Florida.

Did you find a new pharmacy that works for you?

Not yet. I might have to have it shipped from somewhere, unless you know a place in our area.

No, I don’t. My clinic uses Palm Beach Pharmacy, but I don’t know what they use - my injection site itches often.

I’m okay with itching. My last injection site got bad. I rotate sides, but I was red and sore from the week before when I did the next injection there. I went a couple inches over toward my side from the other injection, and used about half. The two welts merged together to becomes a very large, very dark red welt that went from my side almost to my naval. It was warm to the touch and hurt.
I’ve since used .1ml in my right outer thigh, that itched but never turned red. That turned out okay, so yesterday I did another .1ml on my left thigh, almost at my hip. Nothing has happened yet, but it takes a while, so I should start to see a reaction by tonight if I’m going to have one.
I’m looking at a Texas pharmacy that will ship Test in grapeseed oil, but from what I’ve read elsewhere it’s probably going to be almost double the $75 I’m paying now once shipping is added.
Sorry I’m so wordy, but it’s frustrating that I’m having such bad reactions for a treatment I’ve wanted for years since I realized the Androgel wasn’t doing much for me.

That sounds terrible. Good luck, and keep us posted!

New prescription in grapeseed oil is on the way and should arrive Monday. I mentioned a while back that my doctor does the pellets, and if I have a reaction to the grapeseed oil I might have to have that discussion with him. I’d like to hear opinions on the pellets. gonadthebarbarian said “you don’t want pellets”, and I agreed, but I’m running out of options.
So pros and cons of pellets?

I’m getting the welts on grapeseed too. It didn’t start out too bad, but keeps getting worse every injection, just like the cottonseed did. Only pulling to .1 on the syringe still turns red and really itchy. Anything over 1.5 hurts for a few days and itches like crazy for a week or more. Dosing like that a couple times a week brought me to the 271 I got on my last labs. My doctor said he’s never seen anyone react like I am.

He started me on Clomiphene 50mg tabs 3x week.

My insurance dropped my doctor. I’m meeting them next week to discuss a non-insurance plan, but I doubt I can afford it.

Someone suggested I try IM, but with the bad reactions I’m getting now, I’m concerned what that will do in a muscle.

Can you ask the nurse at the doctors office to do a proper injection for you so you know it’s not your shaky hands tearing shit up?

I’ll ask them about that. Sadly, my insurance is dropping them. I’m meeting with them next week to see what kind of plans they have for all the people who have the same insurance as I do. They said it’s about 50% of their patient base.
On a side note, I just got home from an overnight at the hospital after going to the emergency room for chest pains. I have a new cardiologist to see now.
