Trayvon 2
HipsR4runnin:
Also interesting to note that Rodney King’s first notable criminal act was robbing a Korean-owned liquor store when he was 24. Ironic that a good many of his supporters would emulate him in this act following the verdict just three years later.
It’s hard to judge the whole of a man’s life by looking at isolated incidents from it once he is no more, even harder to predict the direction another man’s life might have gone had he lived, but to my way of thinking, comparing the lives of the two men, it might have been better for all concerned if Trayvon had survived, and Rodney had been snuffed out at 17.
Don’t judge a book by it’s cover… but I can’t help to think the media was being a little deceitful.
It is also annoying see stuff like “how do I explain this to my sons?” People act as if black kids get racially profiled everyday and shot to death. The thing was he wasn’t even racially profiled, as others have said, black on black crime happens all the time.
Another stupid quote is, “Mike Vick gets 2 years for dog fighting but Zimm walks free.” How the hell does this even relate. Even if you think Zimm is guilty of a crime, you have to realize based on the system that all the evidence was in his favor. If you can honestly watch the whole trial and tell me Zimm isn’t innocent then you are not very smart IMO.

Pretty much this. I’m taken aback by the not guilty on manslaughter, looks like I was wrong about that. Figured it would have been a slam dunk, and IMO he should do time for that charge.
I hope you aren’t on the jury when im wrongfully charged with manslaughter
Maybe I’m wrong.
I would imagine I’d make a decent juror however. I’m not about to carry the weight of having sent someone to prison that I wasn’t 110% positive should go there. I wouldn’t armchair quaterback in real life as much as I do on the internet.
Var: I agree man. I just think King suffered from addiction and it ended up being his down fall. sooner or later his habits were going to get him.
As far as Martin, you could see a similar path IMO. Like it goes “if it looks like a duck, acts like a duck, its a duck.”
The media is spinning a young, fresh faced, misunderstood youth…that wasn’t the case.
I have been profiled before as well not only here but mainly in other countries. 2xs in France and once in London. In France both times were at gun point. I didn’t agree with the first profiling but wasn’t mad about the following two. Luckily I wasn’t shot.
I am sick of this, if you play the race card then yeh race is going to be involved. There was nothing racial about this until the media made it that way. All these people protesting for what? because he was black?

However this whole case is just another example in a long line of selective outrage and people willing to throw their rights away.
Like i said in one of my last posts in this thread–the prosecutors spent the whole trial calling “murder murder murder” when there wzs no evisence for it. The defense basically spent the whole trial saying “nope, there’s no evidence”. When, at the very end, the DA’s office went to motion for a lower charge they still had those words ringing in the jury’s ears with no rebuttal. Those kinds of repeated lines imprint themselves on a jury, regardless of how you want them to think.
If the prosecution had spent the whole trial going “no, we don’t need to prove that for manslaughter, thats foe a murder charge: all you need to look at is this…” They coyld very well have had a conviction.
Stupid phone typos
Good post.
Anyone pissed of about “racist” America are idiots. If you’re going to be angry, be angry at the prosecution for not putting together the case that apparently all these people protesting could have put together.
I mean, what are they protesting? That the jury was racist? That innocent Black Americans are killed in the streets of Chicago every week and not a single fuck is given by these same people? Or are they protesting that they want to get rid of due process, because the “people have spoken” and therefore he is guilty?
This is a prime example of why the Federal Government is not, has not been, and hopefully will never be, a democracy.

Are you black? And I have heard that Europe is way more racist than America.

That is the Rapper “Game”.
dude is damn good, but lacks variety in his lyrics IMO. He has the skill to be in the conversation for GOAT, but kinda ends up saying the same shit over and over, which keeps him well out of that conversation.

Haha, Beans… come on now… The Game as the GOAT, no way in hell!
Stef: no I am not.
I was at baggage in the airport at 5am after a 16 hour flight and turned around to see a gun point at my chest, I immediately tried to soak in the situation and try to figure out how to take it away from that fat bald Frenchman in front of me. Because his arms were raised I was unable to his Police badge…he thought I was stealing luggage…
I was also detained at gun point under the Eiffel Tower (most romantic place my ass)…for looking like a suspicious terrorist/person of interest. Oh, Im not middle eastern either.
I train a lot of military and LEOs though and profiling keeps people safe. One of the best lines I can remember is from Inside Man “Id rather live to be an old bigot than die a young idealist.”

You pretty much proved my point, lol. He won’t get the respect he deserves, because he spends too much time name dropping and saying the same basic shit over and over again album after album.
He has a very much above average ear for beats however. Consistently picks bangers.

The Zimmerman Jury photo has been released!
These women must be SO racist. When a big man has mounted you and is pounding your head against the concrete you don’t have the right to defend yourself IF that man happens to be black. Even if your grandmother was black, you’ve counseled black kids and your date at your highschool prom was black. Definitely racist women. /sarcasm

No idea of the validity of this, but:
Purple Drank or Lean is a coctail that is created by mixing Robitussin or other over-the-counter cough medicines with, you guessed it, Skittles and Arizona Watermelon Juice, the flavor of tea Trayvon Martin was carrying that night.
Purple Drank also goes by other street names such as sizzurp, lean, syrup, sip sip, drank, barre, purple jelly and Texas tea. It has opiate like effects. Some of its side effects include confusion, agitation, and hallucinations among others.

It’s followed by FB posts by Martin asking about codine sources…
Oh? The point of posting this is?
Trayvon was getting all the ingredients for drug making now? Didn’t his little step-brother say the skittles were for him?
Wow. Anything to stain this dead kid’s character. I guess white teens never do drugs. They’re a fucking bunch of angels.
