I wish everyone would just start mass debating again, if there was more informed analyses on the situation at hand and everybody dropped the superficial race war and opted to mass debate more, I’m sure everyone would be relaxed and sociable enough to come to an agreeable compromise on the issue given time. Well, I’ve watched a bit of this here and there. Trying to avoid commentators, in that they all have an agenda.
Things that stuck out to me: the cop or police official (I couldn’t tell which) agreed with the defense that Mr. Martin was acting suspiciously given the time and circumstances of the neighborhood with repeated break ins by similarly-dressed males and that it was correct to check him out.
The lady who is on the stand is the prosecutions best witness, to date. She says she saw Mr. Zimmerman on top beating Trayvon and that Trayvon had said on the phone that a “creepy cracker” was following him. (How Mr. Martin knew Mr. Zimmerman’s race at that time of night, is curious to me, given Mr. Zimmerman is not exactly pale and has close-cropped haircut.) That said, she has some serious credibility issues.
First, she is dumb as post and clearly hostile to the defense. Second, she admitted she could not read, let alone write, cursive, and the letter that supposedly came from her and which tells her story was not really written by her. In short, it looks like she may have made the whole thing up.
Six women on the jury. They will be more emotional than men and vote for the “good guy,” regardless of the law and the facts. I know that is sexist, but I’ve tried to a verdict right at 44 jury trials before I moved over to more business-related things. That’s just the way it goes.

I had grave doubts about Mr. Zimmerman’s lawers when I heard they started with a knock-knock joke, but they are pretty much making the prosectution’s star witness appear to be a complete liar.
The prosecution had a pretty strong negligent homicide case against Zimmerman (i.e., for being an idiot while having a gun), but they should lose a murder case.
