See, the thing I don’t get about this movie is that it seems kind of like the movie Skyline, where a TON of alien robots (Decepticons in this case) come and invade the Earth. Seriously, it seems like there’s an entire city full of them in that trailer. And not just the normal car/truck/vehicle sized ones, but REALLY BIG ONES too.
And then you’ve still got the same 6 Autobots that have been around since day 1. And somehow they’re supposed to fight against an entire city full of Decepticons. Even with the militaries help, this still seems implausible.
Didn’t turn out so well in Skyline, doesn’t seem like it should turn out so well here. Which means that they’re going to have to use some sort of Deus Ex Machine-a (see what I did there?) to allow the Autobots to win. Or the Decepticons win, which means the movie doesn’t follow standard movie format of good-guys-win-bad-guys-lose. And they’ve already done the Deus Ex Machine-a plot device TWICE, with Megatron absorbing the Cube and dying, and then Optimus coming back because of Sams mystical connection with the Matrix of Leadership.
The movies made a lot more sense when it was 6 Autobots vs 6 Decepticons, or even 7 Autobots + Military vs 9 Decepticons + 1 really badass Decepticon.
This next incarnation just doesn’t seem like it will make sense in the end. And I’m willing to suspend a WHOLE lot of disbelief to enjoy a movie like this, but come on. Maybe my movie ticket will come with a dose of whatever the writers and producers were taking so that it will make as much sense to me as it did to them.

I think new chick is hotter than Megan Fox, honestly, at least in the shots of her that I’ve seen. I can’t get over how alien-like Fox’s body looks. It’s just weird.

I haven’t watched the first two because Transformers wasn’t my thing when I was a kid…but I just watched this trailer and I’ll be watching it. I’m convinced :

I dont know X I had high hopes for Jonah Hex and did not like the movie. Could have been her but it came off as two cartoonish. In my opinion.

Seriously, watching Chicago get destroyed is totally worth the price of going to see this movie. I can’t wait! I hope that glass tower is the Trump Tower…I hate that thing!!!

LOL…no I lived there for 4 years and he was an asshole to his pre-construction tenants, trying to get them to pay and additional $200K or something for their condos. Also, the hotel wouldn’t help out when we were sold out. When asked what their walk rate was (the rate they would give us for relocating people to them) was $700!!! Like, wtf? You’re not the Ritz! Even the Ritz in Chicago isn’t a real one, it’s owned by Sheraton so it’s like a fancy, over-priced Four Points or something.
