Has anyone tried training the same bodypart twice a day? Similar to this: Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION
Yes, I think it’s preferable to train a
bodypart twice per day (I allow three hours
rest inbetween) IF one can do it. I hope no
one will confuse the once-or-twice-per-day
issue with the volume issue because of
course one can do the same volume, if one
prefers, over two workouts rather than one.
It’s particularly appropriate where you
see a bad falloff in strength while not
yet having done all that much work in the
first workout. For example, say that I’m
training upper body in a double split,
and I do bench presses first and then
later do dumbbell overhead presses. In
the second workout, if I start with
dumbell overhead presses, I drastically
outperform in that exercise what I had
done in the first workout.
It’s also useful for really hitting a
bodypart with high volume. The only
bodypart I’ve done that with (and it
was successful) was calves: 10 sets
GVT each workout, for 20 total. I’d
recommend being on the juice for that one.
I have actually trained the same body part 3 times in one day. As Charles Recommended at one of his seminars. It was tough and you have to make sure your supplements, postworkout nutrition, and diet is perfect! He said if he were a bodybuilder and all he cared about was putting on muscle (and he had no life) he would train 3 times a day and drink 3 whey and cornflake+pinneaple juice shakes after each workout. you need to train heavier earlier and a little higher in reps as the workouts progress.
Jesus this is what I´ve prayed for…I´m juicing
right now, this is my split.
day 1 Chest, Lats, day 2 Legs, calves, abs, day 3 rest, day 4 delts and arms.
My lats really suffer after doing chest and my arms don´t get a great workout after delts…
So the point is I could split my workouts to
twice a day training with the same total volume? ie day 1 morning chest afternoon lats…
This would be great!
Could cytadren play a vital role in 2X/day training? I would think so, but I have not used it personally. If so, when to take it and how much daily?
I assume you mean taking cytadren to lower
cortisol levels.
From what I´ve read The problem is that the dose needed for this purpose is a lot higher than 250 mg per day - normal dose for estrogen
management and this could cause some problems
when the drug is discontinued.
Maybe Roberts or Strasser will solve this one…?
Thanks Tapper and Bill. I think I’ll try some two-a-days in a couple months when I have a week off.
