Sorry dizzle, my friend, but you know change is the one constant in life.

Take it easy,

Only five?! There are probably only five total really good actors currently working today.

Who ever said Johnny Depp was over rated needs to go watch Cry Baby again…

Or Donnie Brasco, Sleepy Hollow, Blow, Ed Wood. Depp can put on a performance when he wants to

You just made my point for me. Its not a stand alone movie and was never meant to be they have to make others for the first movie to be a success.
Your position makes sense in a movie like “Cloverfield”, where it’s obvious there’s a lot more to the story. How is it more obvious than Jumper? Well, because there’s a giant monster roaming around in the background while the actors do their thing. Jumper doesn’t have that; it has plot holes. Two different animals.

It’s not needed in real life, but it kind of helps in order to tell a story in that you become more emotionally invested in the journey and outcome.

Keanu Reeves - the only role he has ever been believable in is “My Own Private Idaho”.
I don’t know dude, he WAS Johnny Utah. He OWNED that role in a way not seen since Brando in ‘Streetcar Named Desire’.

"Bodhi, this is your fucking wake-up call man. I am an F, B, I, Agent! "

“Vaya con Dios, Brah”

“You crossed the line. People trusted you and they died. You gotta’ go down.”

“Bodhi, I know you man. When they fall on you, you won’t back down and they’ll have to burn your ass to the ground.”

True man true, J Utah had some of the best lines Hollywood had to offer.

Depp is good, but his roles have become increasingly commercial lately. He is still a very fine actor, however.
More commercial? Somehow I think a musical about a demon barber that murders the wealthy is something short of commercial…

Don’t hate on him for his huge role in Pirates. It was just one series.

Keanu Reeves. However some movies that don’t require him to act have been very good. ie. Matrix, Devil’s Advocate.

Blasphemy of the highest order! Does not one ounce of Test run through their veins? To put Clint on that list is beyond the pale.

Clint’s far from the worst actor. But I wouldn’t say he’s a good actor either. Better in recent years. He IS a very good director.

What a stupid thread. It’s title “Top 5 Worst Lead Actors Ever,” yet people are just picking actors that have had a bad role or two, actors that get type-casted, and actors that they just don’t like for whatever reason besides acting ability.

I consider all of Burton’s recent films commercial. It’s my only flaw.

Tom Green
Michael Jai White
Freddie Prinze Junior
Bokeem Woodbine
John Cena

Dolph, Casper Van Dien, JCVD…I think they should be removed from the list. They have pretty much embraced their roles as B and C movie actors. And you have to admit, it’s not too painful to sit through one of their movies on a boring day.

Depp is a damn good actor. Talk about range!?! Dude can act his ass off.

Denzel is another good one. He brings a strong prescense to roles that require strength. When have you seen him in a role that didn’t require it?

Hayden and Shia are both still relatively young. I won’t fault them just yet.

I think one of Keanu Reeves’s best roles was in The Watcher. He’s so bland, he makes a decent bad guy.

Nicolas Cage is another good actor…when the movie calls for awesome acting. Come on, Con Air, Nat’l Treasure(s), and Next didn’t really call for great acting.

Bruce Willis is another. He can provide a strong presence, but he can also mute it a bit, and seem more subdued, almost lost, like in Unbreakable or Hostage.

Ironically, he was kinda tricked into playing such a large role in the movie and hated it.

While there may be an element of truth in your statement when compared to a Deniro, Pacino. Newman, or Redford. However, Dirty Harry and The man with no name will always be perennial favorites in my and many others regard.

You are correct he was and is a very talented director.

Un-fucking-bearable to watch.

I wanted to see him throw a meatball sub and knock the bad guys off their feet a la Uncle Rico.

…but instead you saw the bad guy toss a dog at him and Keanu punting it. (around 6min30sec)

For some odd reason, that doesn’t shock me at all.

Just like sex, I couldn’t last 6 minutes and 30 seconds with that clip…

Sean Combs.

Few are aware and fewer remember his stint reprising Sidney Poitier’s role in Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun.

He sucked at it.

Which is not to say the run did poorly. They definitely made money. Which, in showbusiness, is pretty important.
