Tired of these damn politics, man

The trick is to call it free and charge for it.

Free carrots! $6.99 per bag!

Then when somebody complains that they cost too much, tell them that it actually cost $13.98 and they’re getting a discount equal to the cost.

Thats how you take somebody’s money while convincing them that you’re doing them a favor.

Did something happen last night?

I wouldn’t know, I tuned out!

However for giggles I tuned in to the podcasters, the leftist lawyer was in a rage over the democratic response.

It’s not really funny, but this guy hasn’t discovered that the party does not care about him or his fight, whatever it is he is fighting, they might fuel his fight though with words and if anything they WANT him angry. Without his anger they are obsolete until it’s time to fly away in the jet.

You can choose how you want to live, you can be part of all it fighting to stay relevant or you can let go, be called a failure a lazy person but you still will struggle no matter what path you take.

But one of these paths isn’t fake, that’s the difference.

People aren’t into politics, they’re into sports. People use political viewpoints and current events as sports teams and political talking heads (trump, charlie kirk, obama) as a replacement for God.

You never heard of “if you don’t learn from history, you’re doomed to repeat it”?

I can’t post in the T thread so I’ll post here.

Did something happen over the weekend?

I tuned in to my leftist podcaster and he is loosing his shit…….

What’s funny and this is funny, he went off on a lector about Eye Rans leaders and how horrible the place is, yet he is just maddened on what happened this weekend, and he did his usual “F you all who voted for him”

What a silly guy.

Tuned in again to my favorite left podcaster!

Today I got a history lesson on how EYE Ran and Meri ca had good relations pre world w and all. Yesterday he talked how bad the region became.

Interesting, so he complains that T is going backwards and all (to a better time) tells the people “here, take your country back”………

I’m not saying anyone is right or wrong here because I don’t trust any of em and no one knows all the details, really you don’t unless you sit at the table.

I just laugh that he thinks the other side is looking out for him and his cause.

Meri ca has interest no matter who the front man is, period.

And of course said, “what the F is wrong with you people, I’m talking T supporters, WTF is wrong with you”.

Too funny.

@twojarslave I now can’t post in this thread anymore, dude how do you or anyone expect to have real dialogue when these threads are only the twojarslave show along with the usual suspects, long term members? Or is it you’d prefer not to have those arguments?

It’s a srs question and here’s another but more on a fun note: what’s your prediction on when Heg Seth firing will be? You know that shit is coming because this will be a disaster if the conflict exceeds.

Also the republicans control the house and senate and guess what’s happening, war and gas going up……..when did they control the house and senate….2003-2007 when gas fuked us and we were in war. Gee, ive always said 1-party should not ever control the house and senate idk i will vote left to split that shit up if I got too. 2003-2007 were the worst time build up I’ve ever witnessed in my life regarding having any kind of job and being able make some money.

I don’t know why you’re tagging me. I’m not a mod and I have 6 (now 7) out of 147 posts in this thread.

You’re free to post as much as you want in the Trump thread I have going. I’m not doing anything to stop you from attempting to make a point.

Diesel is up to 5.19/gal in my area. I forget the other ones but Premium was in the 4’s and Regular was like 3.74 or something. It doesn’t directly affect me, but I know its not great when gas prices rise.

I hate this stupid Iran war. Maybe its good long term but I want it to be over soon.

I think it is not unreasonable to think that WWIII is on the brink. Or that we are IN WWIII, either the start of it or the preliminary phase.

So… what now? How will we prepare?

I think most will doom scroll on their phones, eat fast food, smoke weed and masturbate.

I think you’ve just summed up modern american culture in one sentence. Well done… I guess.

Politics are the new religion

Given Nietzsche talked about God being dead in the 1800s, it ain’t new, haha.

When you look at the philosophical origins of 20th Century Fascism, Communism, and the Nazis, you inevitably end up with some very spiritual ideas that are similar to Gnosticism, but different because they now promised to repair the world through the political process.

Those German guys really know their mental gymnastics. Nietzsche almost certainly would have despised the Nazis, but they still lifted material from him quite liberally, and German National Socialism was definitely a religion unto itself. They just made a bunch of stuff up that resonated with enough Germans, and they were off to the races for a 12 year-long disaster.

Jim Jones is a more recent example of politics as gnostic religion run amok. I grew up regarding him as some kind of oddball Christian, maybe like the guys who handle rattlesnakes and claim they can fix scoliosis with a loud prayer and a headbutt. I didn’t know much about him until I listened to a podcast about him and then read The Road To Jonestown. The dude was a hardcore social justice warrior and open communist. The people who literally “Drank the Kool-Aid” (which was actually Flavor-Aid) drank the metaphorical Kool-Aid years before. It definitely worked to improve conditions for Jim Jones. He made a lot of money selling his beliefs.

The same way we did during The Cold War.
