I can’t make that decision for you–you are a grown ass man.
But as far as what I “think”, since you asked, it appears to me that you are looking for any reason you can to justify not utilizing a conservative approach to cycling. Only your goals can dictate whether it is warranted or not, but you need to be asking yourself these questions:
-What do I hope to accomplish (strength, size, leanness, being “purty”)?
-What are the long term risks of taking the route to get there (hypogonadism, imprisonment, disrupted endocrione system, elevated blood counts, gyno)?
-What are the long term impacts if those risks are realized (financial, personal, societal, legal)?
-Do the risks/impacts justify the goals?
Personally, I will be quite honest that I see absolutely no reason a guy who is not a PAID competitive athlete or fitness model or something should increase their risk–I know I wouldn’t. The long term potential damage to your HPTA and other body functions are not worth it. Regardless of how overblown the risks are by media sensationalism, one must acknowledge that they do exist and are potentially damaging.
Therefore, I do whatever I can in this forum to recommend guys cycle conservatively. [/quote]
When we get carried away or were about to use the phrase “check this out” right before we do something stupid, Balla is the like the voice of reason. Which we totally need around here myself included.
Having said that our personal goals and how we measure risk to reward is different for each of us. How I view AAS and its usage has changed over the years. In my 20’s I wanted to perform and look good right then and there, now in my mid 30’s my goals are to compete and still look descent in my 40’s. Im sure in my 40’s my views will change again.
Point being we all push the envelope, so I second Balla on doing it as responsibly as possible.
