Thundersnow

One of the cool things about living at 6000’ is the occasional spring snow/thunder storm. A little while ago it was snowing hard enough almost to call a blizzard, with flashes of lightning and thunder to go along with it. I see this almost every year right about mid-April, but it always amazes me.

I used to see that when I lived in Salt Lake City, Utah too – I was given to understand you get the spectacular lightning because the air is so dry – I think that still holds up in Wyoming.

We almost never see that type of weather here in Honolulu. Here it is just the same thing day after day…
