Yeah I’ve seen studies saying that trt is bad for your lipids. My current hdl is not the best (above 60 is better my lab report shows)
That’s why I am thinking about it.

Got denied to give blood as my hemoglobin was too high, so I went to my Dr. doing a phlebotomy. After about 300ml I passed out and we stopped.
That was my last day on trt and I started PCT last week with Nolva. ![]()
Too much to worry about for me, in the last months my sleep apnea went bad and I woke up several times gasping for air. So I hope i will feel okay in a couple of weeks.
Short update 13 weeks after PCT:
TESTOSTERON
Ref 2.49 - 8.36
μg/l 3,1
SEX BINDING GLOBULIN
Ref 18.3 - 54.1
nmol/l 22,4
ALBUMIN
Ref 35 - 52
g/l 46
So I’m back to low normal and my hair starts shedding like crazy the last days.
Missing my energy and think starting over again lower dose.
How is your libido and sexual function with your results?
Function is still good, Libido is like dead ![]()
Went to see an Endo 2 weeks ago to have another opinion, he is stating that I do not need TRT. But I was feeling so much better with more T, way more energy.
What do you think about my recent bloods? Would you start over again with those levels?
Is there anything else I could tweak?
Recently had another blood showing my total T still at 3.9
So my calculated free T is not that bad.
Still feeling run down latest by afternoon.
Anybody an idea what else it can be? Thinking about jumping back on injections, my primary covers it.
FT testing has its flaws, it’s not perfect.
According to you it’s testosterone related and I have to agree with you.
Thanks @systemlord for that, i gave myself the answer. Good to have such things logged.
I just do not feel comfy to jump back on as my T has never been that high naturally before. When I was 30 it was 2.9, whith 38 it was measured even 2.01.
Since I was on trt for 2 years already (which is 1year ago), is it possible that my body got used to higher levels so it needs more now?
Imagine a guy who didn’t finish going through puberty because his T didn’t increase to the proper level, who was offered T replacement only to refuse because he’s never had high T before, that’s absurd.
Your situation isn’t that much different. You probably never had good testosterone to begin with and that’s why you feel better when you raise your testosterone.
You’re not going to drop dead from high testosterone!
You have two options, continue feeling the way you are and decline further or go on TRT.
Stop torturing yourself!
Right you have.
I will give it another run, thanks!
Still tryin to convince myself to start again, next appointment with my pcp is in 2 days. Just read another thread where fatigue symptoms and feeling cold were associated with thyroid problems.
@systemlord @highpull @anon18050987 @blshaw
What are your thoughts about my last t3 levels? Kind of low?
On the other hand the trt 2 years ago was resolving my fatigue problems. Does testosterone stimulate t3 as well maybe?
Just wanted to let you know that I’m not ignoring your tag. I’m not really all that knowledgeable about thyroid matters so I will defer to the others.
Your testosterone is far worse than your thyroid levels.
Is this an attempt to talk yourself out of going on TRT?
My TSH is lower on TRT, T3 and Free T3 are higher. Pre-TRT TSH was 0.89 and last one was 0.45.
It’s more an attempt to make sure that I will take the right direction. Don’t want to sit there in ten years regretting something.
Maybe it’s my low-t behavior to overthink everything. My PCP will cover it, even my wife is pro trt. And me too, but something in myself is trying to avoid it. It suck’s honestly.
Thanks @systemlord for your answers always.
Absolutely, low T causes indecisiveness from a lack of self confidence. You’re playing out natures plan. Low-T is like a death sentence and somewhere deep inside, you’re accepting it and admitting defeat!
I think I would stick with what was working.
deep inside there is still a hope to find the root cause of my low-t and to fix that.
Thinking it might be related to my long term-dieting over years from 20-30 or to my crocked nose that i have since a kid. But sleep study showed no problems in that area. I read all your links about the benefits of trt, but still kind of worry about possible site effects.
My eyes feel only half open at the moment, remember the last time i started trt, that totally changed as my energy levels went up. Missing that a lot. Did you had similar symptoms?
logical comparrison. Thanks for that.
The lower the testosterone levels, the more unlikely you can fix it. A man with slightly low levels isn’t as far gone as a man with insanely low levels. This speaks to how bad the situation is.
Your labs point to combined hypogonadism, a mixture of primary and secondary for which there is NO cure.
