I claimed context doesn’t matter? Or I claimed that international context isn’t justification to not protest something?
Gotcha.
I claimed context doesn’t matter? Or I claimed that international context isn’t justification to not protest something?
Gotcha.
Actually, I think we agree more than disagree here. Context does matter, but injustice is injustice. Agree? Or disagree?
Agreed.
Hey @pfury , we had a perfectly reasonable, articulate conversation with resorting to name calling or required belittling one another to make a point!
I can say I appreciate this and look forward to your perspectives in the future. We just proved that being different does not require being superior… Thanks man! ![]()
Of recent news texans owner shits bed confirms what most people of color assume about old rich white owners
Also Papa johns just jumped in and hand pizza hut millions…
Biz owners should stay quite imo its marketing suicide. Shut up and stay rich… Not exactly splitting atoms
And it’s what the white working class have known for years.
My, hell…
What did he say and/or do, HH?
It wasn’t anything terribly extreme. They are attributing the loss revenue to people protesting the NFL protests by not watching NFL and doing other things and not buying pizza.
It may or may not be true, but he gains nothing by saying anything so he is better off offering deals than saying anything about this topic.
You cannot win mentioning it, pro or con in the public sphere. No matter where you stand you piss off about half the people, you don’t even have to make any hardcore statement it so emotionally charged that people will get butt hurt no matter what you say. You can say something totally minor and people will automatically give it the least charitable reading of it possible. One way or another your will either be a bigot or an America-hater.
We need a ‘National Calm the Fuck Down’ day.
Maybe the pizza just sucks. I probably could have left off the maybe.
I don’t think it sucks, but it is too expensive. “Everybody’s Pizza” in Decatur, GA is the best.pizza.ever.
He tweeted a bunch of nonsense on NFL protests caused his pizza sales to drop… Which was prolly the dumbest thing he could do.
Pizza hut tweeted back but digornos tweets the funniest.
Better pizza better sales. Hes now opened the door to get shreded by cut throat marketing guys…

The latest thing I read about the Keapernick case does not look good… at all for him. If he kept is stupid face shut, show he can dedicate to football without being a team distraction, he could eventually get a job. Maybe not this year, but next year and beyond.
I think he just insured he has no intention on taking another snap or calling another play ever again.
So my undrestanding is now, that he filed the case with no actual evidence and is hoping to get it by subpoenaing NFL ower’s phones and email in hopes of proving collusion not only with each other, but also the President.
So just to get the story strait, Keapernick could not even to be bothered to vote in the election, he chose not to be heard. Now he is accusing the most powerful people in the NFL and the country of a personal vendetta against him to the point, where they performed an illegal act, he has zero proof of, but is hoping will magically appear.
He must be the dumbest person on earth. Had have a better chance at getting a gig if he nailed Melania in the ass, while Jerry Jone’s wife licked his nuts.
He cast this wide net of collusion hoping to find something that he apparently had no prior evidence of. Hey it doesn’t mean the owners didn’t collude, but he should have known the second he filed the grievance if anybody had evidence, it was vaporized faster than he could spike a football.
This case is so hard to prove, that two owners can actually have had a conversation about not taking Kaepernick and as long they didn’t make a deal not to take him or prevent him from getting a job in their statements, it still wouldn’t be collusion.
But hey, he got a 1 million dollar book deal. I guess if I want to dwell in the head of a moron, I’ll give it a read.
The person who writes it for him is the one who will be dwelling in the head of a moron.
I dint even know about that… Will be interesting to see how it plays. Not a lawyer but not hiring somebody based on a political view could be a violation of some kind. My money is on a quite settlement…But NFL is a talent aquisition biz… I think alot of teams would have better seasons had they hired him… Clevland, Miami, SF, and now Texans all need a QB… Hes more than qualified so its clear team owners making a political choice not a pure talent choice… I think Shannon Sharp nailed it on Undisputed when Miami passed him up
It does.
My favorite pizza shop in the whole world is owned by the most lefty leftist to have ever leaned, but he makes some of the best damn pizza around, so thats where I spend my dough!
I see no quiet settlement being offered. He made a big accusation and it’s to the NFL as an organization in total make him look foolish and his claims completely unfounded.
I think he’s begging to be made an example of. I think the sharks in the water are more then happy to prepare his crow medium rare.
He’s taking on heavy hitters without, it seems, any prior hard evidence. The case was a long shot to begin with. He tipped his hand when he claimed the colussion was involiving the president of the U.S. Now trump did make his divisive statements, but it was long after the season started and only 6 players were engaging in any kind of protest. I am not happy trump made it a political football, but it’s extremely unlikely Kaepernick being jobless had anything to do with the president and everything to do with teams not believing he could play without causing some non-football distraction to the team. A legit concern.
It was proven when Baltimore was willing to extend him a contract and withdrew (tore it up actually) when Kaepernick’s girlfriend mocked the team owner and Ray Lewis with a “Jango Unchained” reference. It may have been his girl freind making the ‘joke’, but he already was a distraction without a contract. So they moved on. He wasn’t worth the trouble.
He should have dumped the bitch right there and apologized. Then he might have been on a team.
Some idiot reporter criticized Miami for not signing him. Obviously forgetting he insulted most of the population of the city by praising Fidel Castro, in Miami. No way they could have signed him, even if they thought he was the next Tom Brady. There would have been a lynch mob outside the practice field. Cubans don’t take anything remotely pro-Castro lightly. They are in Miami because they couldn’t go home. And an idiot praising one of the most oppressive dictators in the western hemisphere, while criticizing the U.S. for its oppression, sits well with very few, especially in Miami.
Yea I remember the Castro T shirt… I agree Kaps a dipshit… His GF is even worse I think she through gas on fire when he had a shot at Clevland too but the bmore thing was crazy… I was just saying I think they settle cheap cuz sometimes its cheaper to settle than fight in trials ect… I think the cause is a just cause but hes a shitty spokes person. However on pure talent he is better than some of these guys so that really is true based on performance on field strictly speaking
He ain’t got a job because of one word “Distraction”, whether his own loose lips, his lunatic for a girl friend, or the media circus that would follow, no team want’s that shit in their facility. Prior to the lawsuit, I would say he had a shot at employment in the next season, where the media circus would start at the beginning of training camp and mostly die off before the season so long as the focus is on football and controversial statements were not said.
Filing the lawsuit pretty much guaranteed he will never play in the NFL again. Especially if your “collusion” charge is drummed up between the WH and the owners and no evidence was gathered to support such a charge prior to the suit.
You can bet, if anybody had any info regarding Keapernick, it was deleted and removed the day he filed and way before and very difficult to enforce subpoena was filed.
I never supported his protest, particularly because he likely to have never known a day of ‘oppression’ in his life. He was, more than anything else in life, rich and white. I know he’s mixed, but if not sporting that massive Afro he’s got now, nobody could tell by looking at him he’s in anyway black. Latino maybe, but not black. And it’s clear from what he has said, he doesn’t really know what the hell he is talking about in any real sense. But that’s not why I didn’t like him. I didn’t like him because he dispersed Alex Smith who was having a major year and only lost his job due to injury and a hot hand by Keapernick.
In the end, I don’t really hate or dislike him. I don’t like some of the things he did, but I think that was driven by pussy. He was into shoes and being a jock until she came along and rocked his world.
If he’s going to sue anybody, he should sue her ass. He could have at least had a job this year if it wasn’t for her. He said he would stand, that it was a one year thing. But, now… Maybe he can play in Canada. They’d love the media circus for the old ‘meat in the seat’ phenomenon.
