Love pits, definitely my favorite breed. Lost my first one Christmas 05, while I was deployed. He was bred out of a fighting champ(did not know that until he was about 1 - sire’s owner left him with a friend while he was off island, and said friend bred him without permission), and loved kids. He was protective without being aggressive, almost took a guy’s hand off for touching my daughter(dude was a friend of a friend and was trying to play with her). Used to love catching water buffalo in Guam, no shit. Made a great catch dog, and I never trained him, just let him chase. Been almost 7 years since we lost him, and I still get a little misty when I think of him. Definitely my favorite dog ever.
That’s sad.
It seems like the only thing dogs do wrong, and this isn’t their fault… is not live long enough.
I am waiting on his papers but I do believe he is a pure bred. I won’t be cropping the ears or the tail. From what I’ve seen so far, I think not breeding him would be criminal.
It’s a shame this breed is banned over here, they judge the breed and not the dog. I watched a programme on it a few weeks back and it had a gorgeous female pitbull, 9 months old, so playful and bubbly, but they had to ‘destroy’ it due to the law. Complete bullshit. Scum get hold of powerful dogs and are used as weapons.
Hopefully the law is changed soon so the low life’s are judged and not the dogs.
no matter what I say here there’s a chance you could misunderstand my meaning. But you’re a clever guy so hopefully not.
So why did you, as a large bodybuilder, who could have bought any breed of dog, buy the one with the most fearsome reputation (although unjustified)?

The answer: I didn’t buy him. He was a gift. I usually go for the smaller dogs like the terrier I had. The last big dog I had was my german shepherd when I was a kid.
Regardless, I like this pups personality and his intelligence. He seems to get along with people and other dogs well…and short of doing stupid puppy things, his actions make sense. I mean, I know if I leave him alone in the bathroom the toilet paper will be fucked up but the wall won’t be.
I’ve had him long enough at this point to say “fuck the reputation”. It isn’t like I am entering him in any fights.
This dog watches tv. I never had one that did. They might look in its direction…but not look like they are trying to follow the voices and action.

If he is that interested in TV as a pup, he’ll probably end up watching specific shows. I had a cat who would settle down on a cushion to watch Star Trek.I’d leave the TV on to see if she’d watch anything else, but no. She was a trekkie.

You’d better get him started on Smallville DVDs.
I knew a cat that liked surrealist paintings.
And the washing machine when it was running.
Admittedly, from a certain point of view it kind of was the same.

No you didn’t.
Well, he liked one especially.
Maybe I can take a pic.
It does look like a washing machine in progress though.

My dogs all like to watch Star Trek because they have no choice.
But seriously…only one of my dogs has the ability to “see” TV. She jumps up and barks at any animal on TV…and one time…get this…she jumped and barked when Sex & The City was on and Sarah Jessica Parker was on the screen!

She was excited because she thought it was the Kentucky Derby.
Good looking dog, X. I have two pits myself. Both of mine were rescue dogs. We decided not to crop the ears or the tails. Mine are kind of complete polar opposites from each other. The one (a male) is just a playful retard that loves everybody. The other (a female) is a bit more laid back, but can be aggressive sometimes, especially around men she doesn’t know.
Pits are some of the smartest dogs around and it’s a shame that they get a bad name. Good luck raising him.
