You don’t even need to swap the needle or swab again (apparently swabbing with alcohol doesn’t really do anything in the first place, for that matter).
With utmost respect cortes, it does do something. It cleans the area decently - it just doesnt sterilise things…

I’m certainly not suggesting he doesn’t wash the area beforehand.
My comment refers to exactly what you are stating, that it doesn’t sterilize to any reasonable degree, as that is the reason that most people swab with alcohol after having thoroughly washed their hands and the area to be injected. Also it was mostly directed at swabbing again once the ostensibly sterile needle enters the ostensibly sterile skin. It just doesn’t make sense, even if alcohol did provide adequate sterilization.
For the record: I still swab with alcohol before every injection. I also know of a certain well respected poster on this forum with many (thousands of?) injections under his belt who does not swab at all and has never experienced any trouble to speak of.

I agree - it is just you said it doesnt do anything, but it does.
They are for use for those who have not had time to wash (addicts) or may not have washed recently (ER/doctors surgery).
They DO do something, they clean to a very basic degree - they do not sterilize… and you are right, this is a misconception with many novice or under informed AAS (or other shit) users.
I agree though, there is no need for them if one is clean, freshly washed and hygienic in their use.
My worst ever injection was in the quad with a 23 g needle (which I always use and still use - of course I swap them) and it took me a 4th try until I found a spot not full of surface area nerves. Yeah, I looked like bitten by large mosquitoes That was the worst, and never happened again, touch wood, spit over shoulder.
About the swabbing thing. At least clean the area then? I mean I usually take a shower and soap up the area and I use swabs. Paranoid? Maybe.
