The fact that my old people’s farsightedness is combining with the nearsightedness I’ve had since elementary school and together they are conspiring to blind me completely.
Also? I go back and forth on whether I’ve fallen completely deaf or not.

I’m kind of surprised I can hear anything at all, let alone so well after decades of downright abuse. In spite of chainsaws, chippers, and industrial processes of all kinds, I could hear the beeps in the headphones on my sons hearing test from across the examination room.
I’m definitely selectively deaf.
Queen of the Damned. So terrible. So heartbreaking.
I will admit that I enjoyed the soundtrack.
Never seen that one. Apparently I should not. ![]()
It was not only a horrible adaptation, it was just a bad movie in and of itself.
Agreed
The Dark Tower was an abomination.
Yes. It’s terrible.
There are plenty of adaptations which fall short from the books. It’s not surprising, thinking how different formats written word and images are.
But what bothers me when the original purpose and idea of the book is completely missed or twisted somehow. Filled with some nonsense or stuff that has nothing to do with the original.
It’s even worse if it’s poorly done.
IT…the original movie ending was horrible
Arrested for being Jewish?
No, arrested for being unwilling to cooperate as he is what appears to the cop to be a likely target, which he will not be able to protect should things escalate. “Please go home, we’re not doing the protest/anti-protest thing here today. We’re after safely seeing this thing to its end. Please go home, as I don’t wish to arrest you.”
Should the original protesters be the ones sent home? Maybe. But I see cutting off anti-protest as a valid public safety measure.
I don’t see any counter-protest. I see a clearly Jewish guy being told to leave because he is Jewish or he will be arrested. Because he is doing something wrong? No. Because the animals that support Hamas might attack him.
Would you feel the same if this was in America? If so, that’s scary as hell.
So, yes, same response from me here or there. I don’t support Hamas or Palestine, but at this point neither do I particularly support Israel, though I historically have.
I’m just not sure why you’d need to show up at a Christian Right protest waving a rainbow flag or a Hamas protest wearing a yarmulke. But okay, because it’s your right, I suppose. But what about the cop’s right to go safely home tonight?
Not to be a big downer, but at the moment I’m pretty sick of people. I would like a great many of them to shut the fuck up. “Go home, you pointless agitator, or I’ll arrest you” makes sense to me.
So the most violent get their way.
What if he just had a cross around his neck?
No, you’re completely misunderstanding me. I’m not for either side, I’m saying I get why the cops wanted the guy to GTFO. Same thing if the groups were reversed.
Non-violent protests are more likely to remain that way without agitators on the sidelines.
If you have never seen Kentucky Fried Movie, this situation reminds me of Rex Kramer, Danger Seeker.
