Anybody that has had a chipped ham sammich knows thats true!

I miss chipped ham…it was a staple of my childhood diet in Pittsburgh

Must be Isaly’s. Any deli can set the slicer to 3 microns and let it run all day, but if it isn’t Isaly’s, it isn’t chipped ham.

We used to run care packages to my one cousin that moved out of town. 10 lbs. of chipped ham, 10 steak hoagies from Danny’s, and a case of Iron City. :+1:

South Jersey might as well be a different state.

I lived in Jersey, the real Jersey, North Jersey. Every other white guy thought he was an extra on The Sopranos.

This is true, I have been to Sicily, and no one there uses ‘‘youse guys’’.

Hey what about Central?

They can’t even decide what exactly Central Jersey should be. Elizabeth could be considered Central Jersey but then again it borders on Newark. When you go over the GWB heading south, you will eventually see a Budweiser plant. That plant is in Newark but if you can see the plant, you can also see Elizabeth.

Never let “them” know your next move.

Those are the same people who don’t signal their right hand turn off the main road, when you are waiting for them to pass by so you can make your turn onto the main road.

Or just 50% of the drivers in Florida.

‘‘Thee’’ comes from the Latin word ‘‘tē’’, which is the accusative of ‘‘tu’’ (you).

One day people will mention how ‘‘they’’ used to be plural. That’s one thing that pisses me off, and hasn’t even happened yet!

right turn on red in pedestrian/residential areas pisses me off

I have actually learned only fairly recently that one could right turn on red in the US.
Forget about guns, that’s freedom right there.

I was told you can make a right turn on red when you’re in the center/left lane if it’s clear to do so. I have no idea if that’s true.

I was hit by one of these drivers october last year. Nothing can convince me that it’s a good idea in areas where there are a lot of pedestrians.

the US is too car centric

That is true if and only if all of the lanes to your right are right turn only and there are enough lanes on the road you are turning onto that each of the lanes to your right has a lane to turn into and you have a lane as well. If that is not the case, it is not legal to make a right turn from your lane even on green. In other words, if you can turn right from your lane on green, you can usually do so on red as well after yielding. Local laws, of course, vary and posted signs always take precedence.

Thanks for the explanation. I didn’t know the specifics of the rule.

One day when I was in a very bad mood and just looking to lash out at someone, I actually commented on it when I saw someone I knew do it (I was behind them and we were going to the same place). I just thought it was them being impatient at a red light, and they smugly told me it was fine. That brought me down a peg. But they were also speeding through a youth soccer complex, so I justified my judgment of their driving that way, haha.

Thats a low percentage, lol

I’m sorry that happened to you. I guess that’s the price of liberty.
