Things That Piss You Off

That sucks a lot.
I know kids can get grabby but if that was my kid I would have offered to pay for the repair of the bracelet. That’s what the customer should have done.

Was in the sauna the other day and this older lady legit got up, propped the door open, and sat back down.

Apparently the sauna was too hot for her, so she cooled it down to what she felt was acceptable…

By making you sick they are becoming relatively stronger, brilliant.

Having to work pisses me off, took 10ish days off over the holidays and it was spectacular doing nothing but cooking, lifting, and walking the dog.

Perhaps it’s time for a job that makes you happy?

lol probably. My job is objectively not that bad but doesn’t really get me going, just doing it to pay the bills until the lady finishes her residency. Will either get a new job in the same field or switch fields when that happens.

wtaf… that is vile. Both the parent and child should be punished

To be fair, I understand if younger kids are still developing their sense of touch and everything. Usually it’s evident just by looking at them grasp out at stuff. I have no problems letting them touch my hair, or my clothes, or my hands, etc.

But that little girl had to have been no younger than 6-7. I don’t know if I just scared her by being around her, but she wasn’t laughing, talking….nothing. Just staring at me. I don’t have kids myself, so I’m not sure what all the various temper tantrums look like, but I’d say that was one. A surprise one.

I realize she’s just a child, but still.

that’s an age where this type of behaviour is pretty unacceptable barring some developmental disorder

Yeah that’s the other thing. I felt bad for being really upset if the kid was to any length on the spectrum, or leaning far to either side of neuro-divergence.

But she really didn’t seem to be on the spectrum whatsoever. I watched them follow the supervisor for a bit, and the parents took her out of the cart to walk, and she just seemed rather bratty/prissy. Arms folded, still not saying a word, upset face, etc.

My 2 year old knows to keep his hands to himself. After being told “no” when he tried to mess with the card reader one time while I was handing groceries to the cashier, he got the idea. I’m absolutely not bragging about my parenting, haha, just saying that yeah, unless the kid had a legitimate problem, it’s not cool to just grab someone or their belongings at that age. They and their parents should know/do better.

May have posted this, but things are coming to a head. I left a job after 4 years for more money and more perks in an adjacent field. Big mistake. Absolutely NO training. After I accepted the position, I was told I probably wouldn’t know what I was doing for a year. Operations told me the way I’ll learn the job is by messing up and having my hand slapped. All institutional knowledge is kept in one guy’s head because he’s too insecure to set up a training program (or incapable of it). He’s one donut away from a heart attack. This is a BIG company (like Fortune 5). They have the ability to put together a freaking training.

I have worked for Fortune 100/200 companies that have over 100k employees - they never create trainings or software tools to make things more efficient. It’s BS.

They don’t like to create materials which can later be referenced to point out contradictions, ignorance, or authority figures acting from an “I feel” perspective.

Yes it is.

Thats like video surveillance cameras that never seem to be working when they would expose liability.

Holy Shit! 6-7 years old! That is horrible. As a parent I don’t want my daughter to have to put up with those shit bag’s kid.

In the long run, I’m not mad at the kid, I’m mad at the parents.
