Funny thing, I’m actually considering studying guilt proneness for my senior thesis
Apparently ppl who score high on the guilt prone scale tend to be in the “grown up stage”
One of my favorite passages from Meditations is book 2.1:
Begin the morning by saying to thyself, I shall meet with the busybody, the ungrateful, arrogant, deceitful, envious, unsocial. All these things happen to them by reason of their ignorance of what is good and evil. I’m just busting chops haha…
A lot of study I think are the pursuit of understanding of a lot of “common sense” stuff - it’s still fascinating regardless of any “no duh” factors that might accompany it.

It wouldn’t have saved me this time anyway as these were for a friend who had a child.
To be fair, it wasn’t a deal breaker if she truly loved flowers - it’s more like a fringe benefit. After the second time i bought her flowers while we were dating she said she didn’t really like them. She is also not a “card” person (another fringe benefit).
Hopefully your friend enjoys them anyway.
This has been a phrase I’ve used a lot during CoVid. Don’t let other people control your mood. Don’t give idiots that power.

I caught a very mild cold a week and a half ago. Six months ago I wouldn’t have even blinked at it but I went in to have the bottom of my brain scratched. Negative for COVID.
My symptoms got better but have regressed a bit. Maybe it’s the same cold, maybe not but doctor says go get tested again.
They need to get faster, simpler testing because PITA does not even begin to explain this system. And I don’t see many going through this regularly.
Confession: I really want to start a conspiracy theory that they insert a microchip in your nose to monitor what you think.

The ads that now play on my youtube account that start with some shirtless skinny dude saying “exercise burns fat right? Wrong! excercise burns calories!”
I think this is the V-shred guy but I don’t know for sure.

I have one where the guy, also shirtless, hold up a pizza and a salad and asks which one I think he’s having for lunch.
I can’t tell you which because I skip after those 5 seconds…

Sigh. Pretty sure that is v shredz and he’s a total tool, but I’d take his ads over what I get now, aka “entrepreneurs” speaking in broken sentences to emphasize every word and telling me how to set up passive income by having my own amazon store. They’re all just so douchey.

He’s basically the clown of the fitness industry There are probably enough videos on youtube tearing him apart to last two lifetimes
Some part of me hopes he’s a young guy knowingly working for a busines savvy troll trying to profit off ppl’s insecurity and not an idiot that actually believes that BS
