So, for everyone whoās never baked a loaf of sourdough bread, it really isnāt as complicated as weāre making it out to be hahaha - itās just, sensitive, is all
It is so much more complicated. If you arenāt in northern California or other select regions of the world, itās almost futile without a laboratory.
Once local flora gets into the mix itās really no longer sourdough, and it is virtually impossible to prevent.

As for the fruit question, the issue is even dried fruit has a lot of water. Some people dry it out more, but this make little hard bits. My recommendation is to chop the hell out of whatever you are adding and then blot it with a towel. It still makes things a bit soggy, but itās so spread out and small you donāt notice.

itās super easy - I got tired of wasting my discard (or feeding it to my compost pile ⦠which, Iāll be honest, has produced some HYOOOGE worms) so Iāve been saving it in a 64oz container in the fridge.
Iāve made the pizza dough, pancakes (would be better as waffles), and biscuits ⦠the biscuits are fucking knock out man ⦠so damn good.

My dog sheds an incredible amount. Like he holds the genetic code to regrowing hair. And its white so its easy to see. Well, Ive been growing a sweet quarantine mustache and now i constantly have white dog hair in it all the damn time. Just a couple white hairs always hanging out in the bottom of my peripheral vision⦠i wipe them off and 5 minutes later i notice i somehow have picked up more dog hair in my stache.
the mustache might be more PITA than its worth at this point.
