Gotcha … good to know for the future
Nope, another repair store just told me to cut my losses and buy a refurbished one because they’re a hassle to work on. So, I dunno. Whatever. Fuckin Microsoft.
So I’ve been wanting a Surface for a while … good to hear this man. I could never really bring myself to spend the money on one without the need really, but if they’re a pain on the back end like this, I’m all good … I’ll stick with HP
I’ve got a Surface Pro 3 as well and it’s meh. I was never really that impressed for the price tag. Mine still works, but it’s runnning XP, which expires soon.
It kind of felt like I was Macbooked.
I’ve never bought a macbook and I doubt I ever will because the price is just absurd… That said, I have an iPad Pro with the apple pencil and it’s fantastic.
I’m on a 2014 MacBook right now, hah. It’s still a good computer. Somebody’s going to jump down my throat for this too, but I’ve had both Macs and PC’s dating back 20 years, and Mac’s operating systems have always been better, from day one. Better in terms of user-friendly, less bugs, less viruses. That’s been my experience.
I can’t with that price tag I just can’t. The new ones are like $6 grand (the pros or whatever anyway)
I doubt you need a MacPro. I get a new MacBook Pro every two years, or when we hire a new person. I love them. I’d only move away if Tim Cook starts dicking around with them too much.
My wife finished off the whiskey and I wanted a drink.
I also ate like an ass today.
I was experimenting with scrape-the-rack pressing as a way to make supplemental work a little easier on my crap shoulder. Seemed to be going well but was shredding my rack and axle, so I bought some uhmw plastic strips and bolted them to the rack. They’re so slick that it makes the movement almost frictionless at the top, which feels sketchy as hell as all kinds of shit in my shoulder pops around as the bar shoots up. Looks really cool though.
I’ve had similar issues. I played around with band-resisted push ups, band ASSISTED bench (so it gets heavier on the way up), chains (similar idea), and band-resisted bench.
I also just scrapped benching (except 60% dumbbell work) before and did tons of push ups, overhead press, pull overs, cable flies, etc, for three months.
I understand fully why you are pissed. It’s very problematic.
Thanks! Those are some good ideas, my labrum is (re)torn so I’ve been doing floor press and pushups for horizontal stuff for now. I just got a football bar and am working that in as a replacement for the axle bar in everything. It’s starting to feel more natural and overall better, maybe with those ideas real bench will someday be a possibility.
People who don’t shovel/salt their sidewalks and let them turn into ice sheets of death. This morning I stomped through some dudes front yard flower bed as he was coming out of his door because his sidewalk was unwalkable. I hope his front yard gets fucked up by people like me on their way to work.
I get annoyed after clearing the sidewalk and watching the city plow come launch the contents of the road into the freshly cleared sidewalk. It’s always twice as deep as the actual snowfall.
A snowy Sisyphus situation
Wasn’t Snowy Sisyphus a pornstar? Pretty sure I’ve seen her films.
I have a new career then: inventing names for pornstars.
hate to break it to you, but that particular niche job is pretty much already done by AI … you’ve already been rendered obsolete and you haven’t even started yet…
