As for the Katana debate … They are good for a couple well timed hits but I would rather have this sword. Its made for close up combat. Its sole purpose was to slash and remove limps. Better design then a long ass Katana made for battling samurai on horseback(length of the sword gives it away) I am also well trained in Kempo and can tell you that Katana are nice swords I would rather have 2 of these. And maybe a couple of the 300 to back me
For the record, my favored weapon in a zombie apocalpse would be a Ruger 10/22 with a suppressor and sub-sonic ammo and a laser site, with a plethora of the BX-25 magazines.

I could carry hundreds of rounds, pre-loaded in the mags, easily. It’s silent; quieter than a sword of any kind. All you hear is the action clunking.

You can shoot all day and not be sore or tired.

And I cold carry thousands of rounds in a back, very light.

The laser site is because head shots are a hell of a lot harder in real life than on TV.

I’d probably mount a bayoneet on it as well; you’d have the butt club and a pokey end.
I love guns too and would love to have a nice suppressed AR15. But a nice sword at your side will make you last longer after your bullets will run out and not not being made.

I will edit that …Suppressed AK47 due to its ability to fire under the most abused conditions sand, rain, mud, ran over etc… also its the most popular gun on the planet… rounds are easy to get.

That is a bit Lone Ranger though.

A Classic Phalanx formation would clean up most clusters of zombies.

Now, they dont hace to do chainmail but heavy biker gear and riot shields should provide enough protection to wield spears or a gladius and then you advance like a Roman legion, if something still wriggles stomp on it.

I dont get why they cannot even form a rudimentary shield wall.

Hack, slash, advance.

Hack, slash, advance.

They even have light support cavalry.

This is what I am thinking … they can clear whole hordes of zombies with this approach

I call TTR on my team.

I think Rick giving back Carl’s gun is going to result in another situation like this …

And this is going to be a sub drama line that will play out for a while.

For the record … I support Carl

Carl could be one of the best character studies.

He is like the generation that did not grow up with internet but is just in between, learning to adjust to it.

Him struggling to adjust what he was taught to his new reality would be awesome, but it is all so half assed.

I love Carl, him Darryl Merle and Glen are my fav’s Michone dropped out of the top listing cause I don’t think her character is believable anymore.

One thing I’ve wondered is why the show is “starring” Emily Kinney. Are they going to off her?
Why not just remove the name from the staring role the ep after they off that character? With this show nobody is safe.
Andrew Lincoln is pretty safe.
That is a quote from Andrew Lincoln LOL

Its one of the main reasons I watch the show. Main characters are off’d
Sorry Rick isn’t going anywhere. This isn’t GoT, Rick and Dale are safe. The whole reason they brought the Woodbury people into the prison was to fill it with disposable people to continue the deaths without offing the core and I think it’s the main problem with the show now. I don’t care about those people so their deaths dont move me, or in the case of Lori, they are not significant characters. They need to kill a season 1 char to make me feel like all bets are off.

The fact that Rick has both hands and Hershel lived post zombie bite shows the lack of commitment to killing characters they are committing to. At this point if a main char gets shot or bit and it cliff hangs to the next week I for one will not be expecting anything other than a speedy recovery until the writers grow a pair and kill someone that counts again. I’m looking at you little blonde sister of Maggie.

But in the comics Carl fights to adjust to the new world order, but he just cant quite do it, because he is not a soulless automaton, be he kind of comes through when he has to…

Tries to be what he thinks his father is, sometimes does more than his father could deliver while ultimately still being a child.

This does not happen in the TV series, maybe it cannot be done.

Still, Carl is the one main protagonist who we do not get to see adjusting to a new world, we see him grow into it.

I think blondie is next too or maybe the Hersel. It will be at the end of the season.

“pleading with producers not to cut his hand off”

Fucking lol
Lol x2. But note that that article was just prior to Season 3.

This one talks about Tyreese, Sasha, and Beth actually being “promoted” to ‘series regulars’ for Season 4.

Of course, that also says Karen (Tyreese’s cooked girlfriend) was “promoted” to ‘recurring character.’ Two whole episodes speaking lines on camera qualifies as recurring, I guess? So who really knows what those terms technically translate to.

Kirkman himself has said he’s not really clear on what those terms mean, so take it all with a grain or three of salt.

.

Also I think they should have played this Rick being insane bit a little more

Would have loved to see this scene

There will be vengeance!!! Want to see the next eps.

I’m definitely filing this one under “funny 'cuz it’s true.”

Ha! The scene that killed her for me was the first episode.

End of the World. Husband dead a little over a week or so she was told. On a life and death run from flesh eating Zombies…She request a Babysitter so she can catch a date in the woods

Worst Mother Ever!

Driving a car off the road for no real reason probably did it for me. Thank goodness she is gone- even her ghost was a waste of ectoplasm

I couldn’t agree more although I watched all the seasons over again and it’s a toss up between Andrea and Lori of my most hated character.
