Well I would have to say this response is clicking very well and is overwhelming both in level and in scope.
Communications is very good. Command and control excellent. It seems, but I can’t say for sure, that anyone who wanted to be rescued has been. Many wanted to stay and were left alone. Looting and shooting is not really happening anymore and a NO cop I spoke with today said NO is safer today then on a normal workweek. I don’t know how this forced evacuation thing is going to go. The cops don’t want to do it and the guard doesn’t either. It sound like it will be a real shit storm if they try it.
Everyone is worried about getting sick from the water and contamination. Supplies are abundant and everyone is able to wash frequently.
The rebuild and reconstruction of this place will be enormous. Beyond description I think. I think many local people who lost their jobs will be involved.
I have the night off and am going to have a big glass of JD and go to bed.
Keep sending money and clothes. They will not go to waste.
