'The Truth About Anabolic Steroids'

Newsrags at their best

There was one piece of journalism that reported on AAS on NBC. I have it on file here if anyone wants it, it’s pretty interesting as in for far as they really try to find the facts… and at the end even the journalists admitted they had pre-conceived ideas.

Since they couldn’t go on the air saying “go roids!”, they just said “we just couldn’t find anything truth in the arguments presented againt steroid use in healthy, adult males”

one of the rare pieces that went against the grain

Ahh - very cool!

I guess then it depends on the officer in question - but as far as the law is concerned they SHOULDN’T be confiscated then eh?!

The confusion comes from prescriptions. It is definitely legal to possess with a prescription, but without - it is a very grey area!

As you say, it depends on how good you are at talking law…

Under Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, 23.2

If a constable has reasonable grounds to suspect that any person is in possession of a controlled drug in contravention of this Act or of any regulations made thereunder, the constable mayâ??
(a)search that person, and detain him for the purpose of searching him;
(b)search any vehicle or vessel in which the constable suspects that the drug may be found, and for that purpose require the person in control of the vehicle or vessel to stop it;
(c)seize and detain, for the purposes of proceedings under this Act, anything found in the course of the search which appears to the constable to be evidence of an offence under this Act.

So let’s say Mr Dorian Yates is walking on the street. The Cuntstable identifies him as the great BB of all time, and reckon Mr Yates may have some AAS on him, which is class C. So the cuntstable searched Mr Yates, and voila! found 12 amps of sustanon. The cuntstable wanted to confiscate the sust (so he can use it :P).

Mr Yates protested, and stated that it is legal to posses AAS in the UK, and the cuntstable can not legally confiscate his precious sust. So the cuntstable “seized” the AAS instead, and detained Mr Yates. THe sust will be held as evidence. But later on the say Mr Yates was release because the evidence was not enough to indict him. Mr Yates asked for his sust back, but unfortunately he did not have a valid perscription for those sust.

The sust was forfeited to the crown. Mr Yates walked away empty handed. Becasue there was no case, the sust shall be destroyed. The cuntstable assisted the destruction by injecting it into his gultes.

No one’s ever been charged in the UK for possession of AAS as a primary offence.

However, there were two cases of AAS posession with intent to supply as a secondary offence involving nightclub bouncers who were selling MDMA. Admitting to AAS posession with intent to supply was part of the guilty plea, and leniency, the bouncers entered into for the droppin gof the MDMA suits.
