Yeap. Inflation is a bitch.
At least I am not working now, and wont be for at least 4-5 years, otherwise I would seriously be sweating over the bills since food prices have gone up quite a bit!

When I was at Uni in England I lived on Dried Pasta, Tinned Tomatoes and Grated Cheese for several meals a week. Not the best but got the calories up for a few pence.
Plenty of eggs in there as well.
Couple of tips. Try and work out when the Supermarkets go round and price things down. You can get some real bargains on fresh stuff that way, just follow the guy with the price gun round and pick out your low cost meal for the next couple of days.
Also, going communal on food a couple of times a week can save a bundle.
As for things to hunt in the UK. Chavs?
Things like Deer, Grouse, Pheasant etc you normally have to pay for what you shoot and it will work out way more expensive than just buying steak from a butchers. Pigeon and Rabbit is always an option though. You might even find you can get a golf course to pay you to go and shoot rabbits.
