Really? I don’t think Denver is too bad, provided you are in regular rush hour. Rush hour is good because 90% of the people know where they’re going, know what lane they need to be in, and know how the lights are timed (so they don’t end up sitting in the middle of an intersection). I hate when downtown is busy for some non-business related reason (Rockies game, parade, etc.) and there are millions of people who don’t know where they are going. Those fuckers destroy the flow.

From Westminster to the Tech Center in rush hour. It took between 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. A snow storm would easily kick it into the 2-4 hour range. To go 28 miles. I was stopped on 70 for about an hour one time because everyone had slowed down to look at a Remax hot air ballon that was put up near the road as an advertisement.
My favorite ever in Denver was getting stuck in stand still traffic at 12:30 at night on a Thursday on I-25. They were replacing freeway signs and had blocked all but 1 lane.

I LOVE my commuter train.[/quote]
Ooh, yeah, that would awful, especially if it was pre-T-Rex. I have one friend who lives in Brighton and works in the DTC, he takes E-470 every day. I go Thornton to downtown, and it is usually around 30 minutes. We’re getting a light or commuter rail station within walking distance of our house, but because I need a car at work, I’m not sure if I will be able to use it.
I used to go Westminster (Church Ranch) to downtown. The worst part of that was around Federal, when people wouldn’t know how to merge and would be blinded by the sunrise. Idiots.
Use your rearview mirrors. If you’re in the left lane, no matter how fast you are going, and someone is behind you they obviously want to go faster so MOVE.
No need to slow down for a cop that has pulled someone over. They’re not going to leave the person they have for you.
No need to slam on your brakes when you see a cop. By the time you see them they have long since seen and clocked your speeding ass and everyone around you.
