as for my “drug habits” they are not existing or maybe once, twicw, thrice at best a year. much less then an average american college kids. moderation is the key word I guess in everything as it will allow you to enjoy stuff without getting burnt.
flamers: that was just an instinctive list, I do see those guys flame newbies, sometime even the helpfull guys flame, most of the time its in good spirit. your “funny” doc is way beyond that. you see, there are voltures and bystanders who will not spew an original or positive thought even at gun point but will be more then happy, as this is their nourishment, to mock and criticize anyone else. I guess its a part of the world.

I think non-Americans have a misconception about drug and alcohol use in college, and about American Life in general. Glute - you said that you do drugs maybe 3x a year and that’s less than the average american college student. I beg to differ. Yes, there are the druggies, and everyone knows who they are, but there are also those who don’t do ANY drugs, such as myself. Don’t care to do them, don’t want to be around them, if you bring them out when I’m around, you’re not respectful and certainly won’t be my friend for long. 99% of my friends don’t do drugs. That’s the norm. This isn’t intended as a flame, but rather education.
Also, if I remember correctly, you said that being in the Isreali army entitled you to do drugs, because of the shit you’ve seen and done. I don’t agree with that. No one is driven to do drugs. Ever. It’s a copout to deal with real life. If you can’t deal with real life, then see a psychiatrist and get help. I have tons of shit going on in my life right now, but I rarely drink and I never do drugs. I deal with it.

about the misconception, streotypes etc:
I lived in the states.
I have american friends.
I went to school with some OSP students from the states.
I think I know what Im talking about, maybe its not in youre environment, but maybe you have the missconception.
Im not saying that doing drugs is OK because other people do more drugs. I say that using them sparingly can actualy help you in your life, or can be an experience, valid just as bangee or skydiving.
anyway let me stress again that this is just a small aspect of me, dont take me as such, I have my experience in Life, and in training and nutrition related stuff, and dont put in some box just because I think differently on some subjects.
obviously stating my lifestyle, revealing stuff about myself here is not pleasent as judgemental advice (not by you maybe) is poured. I did get supportive PMs though like this one

I tend to be hard on people who are lazy or aren’t using their minds, but that’s it. If you go back and look at my posts, I DO try to be helpful to those who ask good questions and do some thinking. If some people can’t see that, then I can do nothing more to change their mind.

It was getting hot in here. I felt the need to point out a time when you unnecessarily flamed. In my “gay thread,” the fact that you were so persistent in your personal attacks made me think that you were a bit arrogant. This was all in the face of many people telling you the complete opposite and suggesting you get some reading comprehension skills. Then you attmpted to hijack the thread by calling what I did a hate crime and criticizing Americans’ drinking habits. I just thought you were a little out of line, maybe it was a one time thing.
Not that you care, but I give people the benefit of the doubt and I’m sure you’ve contributed good things to the forums. All of this is no sweat off my sack, but that part of your list sounded like an unnecessary flame itself. Recently, there was a separate thread about people being dicks for no reason. Nobody’s crying, it’s just annoying. So how about toning it down a little or thinking twice before posting something potentially inflammatory? That’s all I’m saying.

Me have a misconception? Nah. Just because you have American friends doesn’t mean you know America or it’s lifestyles. I have friends from all over the world, but I have no clue about their country besides what they tell me. If I were to go there and live for YEARS and YEARS, then I will understand.
As for drugs being like bungee or skydiving, you are totally wrong. Those are natural highs. Endorphins. The same high you get from setting a PR in a lift. The same high you get from acing an exam. Drugs are artificial and unnecessary. Totally different.
