That is of course an issue with politicians in general, especially these days in which the Twitter mob represents everyone and you have polls everyday, who are more concerned about looking good for reelection purposes. With that said, if the poorer and less educated voters cared about the things that actually concerned their quality of life they might not be so poor and easily manipulated into ignoring their status for the sake of liberal tears and fear of the Other.

It’s mostly because red States are filled with a much higher rate of LOW quality people. Major exception is probably Texas.
I was in Florida and listened to about one minute of conservative (really more like moronic) talk radio. The host was talking about how the Dems are trying to destroy our European cultural roots (which he didn’t mention were actually liberal in nature). He brought up how Obama (because he still can be a convenient boogeyman) removed a bust of Winston Churchill from the White House. This is an old story from the right that is 100% false. It has long been proven false. Yet the right still uses this lie to show us how scary Obama is/was. And, the simple minded tribalists who only have to google the claim just go along for the ride because of the endorphins.

Paradoxically more dollars spent per pupil on education in the US, doesn’t equal better results. See DC schools for instance. We outspend some countries that kick our ass in test scores.
The problem isn’t the spending. It’s poor parenting and lack of school choice for the rare parent that does care.
Wrong. It was about power. Once an entitlement exists it can’t be modified or removed. It was about the government taking over healthcare. Notice how the narrative among all democratic front runners is now single payer. O Care was always a bridge to single payer.
The same side that runs every single inner city in America. Where the schools perform like absolute garbage. Oh and that side hates charter schools, which are often an impoverished family’s only shot at a decent education.
It was a giant medicaid expansion with the pre-existing condition law tacked on. If they just would have done that in the first place they could have saved billions. But instead they tacked on a bunch of shit that made healthcare more expensive for people that actually work, with no benefit.

Because Obamacare wasn’t meant to help those people. Much like the recent tax plan. People need to understand who the bill is supposed to help before they freak out about it.

That’s fine. But they could have chucked more money at Medicaid without doing things that made every single policy in America more expensive and additional regulations on healthcare.
While we’re at it don’t claim that every non-medicaid family will save $2,500/year when they knew at the time that wasn’t true.
