that union worker shoulda slapped that old lecher
Yeah I don’t get it. Not sure how we are supposed to admit to something we have been saying the opposite of. My only point was it’s pretty much impossible to think that one shouldn’t vote for Biden because he isn’t mentally there, but should vote for Trump because he is.
Hell at best I could see saying “well I like this person better since they are both nuts.” To deny it just doesn’t make sense.
Ok so we agree since Trump has over 11,000 tweets!
In all seriousness Pat this article is a deep look into the reasons (non-partisan best as I can tell) that people say is evidence of Trump’s mental issues. If you feel like educating yourself about why some of us are saying it it’s a good start. You can also search for videos of his speeches on YouTube.
It’s difficult for me to think if someone reads the examples and listens to Trump’s speeches that he doesn’t have a significant problem. And yes I will agree it is sad. My moms grandparents both suffered one from dementia and the other from Alzheimer’s.
Bully you? Facts and reality can’t change your pea brained mind.
The irony.
At what point will you accept that pat is simply not that smart? On his most recent posts on this thread he has posted several lies.
I can’t believe you guys spend this much time “discussing” things with someone who de facto thinks having bigger and better nukes translates to nukes being a viable option.
I don’t like that idea as much as “Let’s have snipers on top of the wall and just kill everyone on the other side.”
But a child getting an abortion is the real bad guy.
Nuking is God’s will. Abortion isn’t.
Two observations:
-
As I watch the “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” wind it’s way through the Legislative process; It’s amazing how hard times and a pandemic can turn so many politicians and everyday people into “socialist”. Seems things are a little different when hard times hit home.
-
Trump should be on his knees that there is an old, experienced, hard-nosed, bitch of a politician like Nancy Pelosi who knows how to craft and negotiate things like the “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” or his “interim” administration would be up the proverbial creek without a paddle. Ask Steve Mnuchin.
MAGA.
Right… It is amazing. Because being in favor of a heavy-handed government response to a worldwide pandemic and resulting economic crisis makes someone a hypocrite for being against a heavy-handed government response to all the other problems we face. That’s how the logic goes, right? If it’s good now it must be good ALL THE TIME.
But hey. The good thing about little quips like that is they really impress socialists. They’ll think you’re really smart for pointing that out.
Piss-poor try…but that was not my point, @twojarslave.
Well then. What is it about this phenomenon that yo do find amazing?
Actually I was being sarcastic when I used the word “amazed”…
I already knew how hypocritical Politicians and people in general can be.
Oh so you were trying to point out hypocrisy. I thought so.
I suppose you would probably be amazed at all of the conservatives that supported big government during WWII but not during peacetime.
Such hypocrites!
Well let me be the first to make the amazing a little more mundane. This regular joe conservative absolutely supports using the entire power of all levels of the US Government to better respond to the economic and medical crisis in front of us. I’ll even get on board with some straight up authoritarianism right now.
For now. Not in perpetuity.
I’m not sure why such a notion is worthy of sarcasm or “amazement “. It seems pretty easy to understand that crisis conditions change the level of government authority and tax burden people will be okay with.
Still amazed/s?
At least us humans are rational.
Where’s your line? I guess that’s the real question. The right of the people to peaceably assemble? Suspension on habeus corpus? I mean that in the general sense, not you specifically. It’s a question that should run through every Americans mind.
I think trying times are exactly why our government was created with the limits it has. History has proven though that fear wins in most cases and just like the generations that preceded us, we are willing to give up liberties to maintain our worldly comforts.
Side note, hi everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve stopped in.
History has also shown that people are stupid and will do the wrong thing unless the government steps in. You can ask where the line is drawn but where was that line when this country was debating slavery?
The government already has the power to draft you and send you to war. It can jail you. It can execute you. It can garnish your paycheck. Take your property. Take your kids even. Now, when faced with not being able to go out to eat or drink, we say that’s the final straw? That’s a sign that we are no longer free?
