The Push to 2020 Has Begun!

What’s crazy is we’re at a point know where it’s almost assured that Bernie, Trump, or Biden will be our next President. And I think you could easily point to signs like this in each one of them. And it’s nothing against them personally they are just all really old dudes. Honestly I haven’t followed much of the Dem stuff so I haven’t kept up with how Biden sounds lately he’s always had a tendency for foot in mouth even when younger. I’ve heard trump and Bernie at times and wondered if they are ok.

I’m sure if you’re good enough money is still out there but the general idea is poker is much more difficult now than then at even the low-mid stakes. I’d say I’m a pretty average or slightly above low stakes live player. I certainly know all the basic math and the “correct” play most of the time against sane players. I could never make close to a living at it for sure. Way too much variance. In the early/mid 2000’s it wasn’t hard to crush a lot of low live stakes because you had some people who had no idea how to play the game. You just don’t see that nearly as often in live games.

But the bonus whoring type stuff I did online at least the way I did it you could be pretty bad and still make money. My money was only a bit coming from my actual play. The vast majority of it was moving money from site to site to complete the bonuses.

Yeah. With Bernie, I’m like “Eh, he’s a little wound up…”

Trump, I’m thinking “Eh, he’s a dick, hamming it up and looses track of himself.”.

Biden, “Shit. Sit him down by the window and get him some pudding. He’s done.”.

Dude I just feel fortunate. I mean I don’t think mines the type at all that some have that really hampers their life. I can’t really call about 4 total months of my life in turmoil as that at all. But it gave me a massive respect for the mind and it’s ability to go from good to horrible in a hurry. And then back again.

The people that struggle with it even when doing everything right as far as meds and their physical/mental health I can’t imagine. I’m just hoping science continues to improve to help people. I went from perfect to nuts to perfect in a matter of weeks the first time. 50 years earlier I’d either have been dead or locked away for life or something.

Damn, @H_factor

Now I’m really depressed…

LOL!

(Don’t you guys think Tapioca Pudding gets kind of a bad rap?)

On a serious note…if these are our three choices…I think that I am just going to glide through this Presidency and hope and pray that after 4 years the Country isn’t too screwed up.

Bernie, Biden and Trump?

How the hell did we get here?

Obama!

Hehehehe… Just kidding.

Effort. It takes diligent effort for quite a while to reach this point. This isn’t the result of one bad election cycle.

Yep.

And don’t forget the effort put in by Vladimir and the Boys, @SkyzykS.

This is an excerpt from Fiona Hill’s interview on “60 Minutes” tonight:

“The Russians didn’t invent partisan divides. The Russians haven’t invented racism in the United States,” Hill says. “But the Russians understand a lot of those divisions, and they understand how to exploit them.”

The disillusionment and anxiety caused by the broadening divisions are exactly what Putin wants. “Putin, sadly, has got all of our political class, every single one of us, including the media, exactly where he wants us,” Hill says. “He’s got us feeling vulnerable… on edge, and he’s got us questioning the legitimacy of our own systems.”

Americans are an immature, miserable and stupid people. We’ve become amazingly fragile. Go into schools today and you’ll see just how emotionally and mentally weak this newest generation is. Be afraid.

If we are going to insist on a two party system to dominate at all levels then we are going to be forced to accept that often both the choices Will suck. I mean 2016 both sides ran candidates who were the least popular of all time at that point of the race.

The brain/mind duo is amazing (and scary) and truly the last frontier. I am 100% convinced that the mind needs both community and interesting problems to solve to operate most “balanced”. It’s purely anecdotal but I see issues (of any type) are most prevalent in introverted and/or isolated people. Obviously not exclusively. One thing that worries me on this front is the increasing comparison and isolation w/social media. Like, the brain needs real people not computer screens. And definitely not people’s curated “highlight reels”. Constant comparison is deadly, it’s almost like you lose your sense of identity and self.

Yeah, I feel so bad for the people that had to suffer centuries old “treatments”

To keep my post at least a little on topic, this is my current plan for this administration, and will remain so into the future lol. Biden would be least scary to me, since I view him as a “normal” politician and most likely to listen to experts. Both the others…no

Yeah,… No.

Putin didn’t have to lift a finger. All he had to do was stand there and say “Boo!” at the right time.

Not that there isn’t a concerted effort to screw up our political process. There is. There always has been.

But we the people are much more effective.

Uh…no.

Our Intelligence Services have indicated as extensive; organized; run-from-the-top concerted effort by Putin and the Russians to reek havoc all across many Western Democracies via cyber attacks, misinformation, espionage and counter-espionage.

Is this “new”? No. But the tools used and the ability to infiltrate our most important systems and institutions is at a level never before seen.

I will agree that we as a Nation may have made things easier for Putin because of our ignorance and short-sightedness…but to think that all Putin had to do was wave his finger and drink Vodka to make things happen simply is not true.

U.S. in 1790:
Population-3,929,214
Land area: 864,746 square miles

U.S. in 2020:
Population-327,200,000
Land area: 3,797,000 square miles

That doesn’t even take into consideration that the U.S. was less centrally-controlled in 1790 than it is today.

“Two Party” or “Thirty Party” doesn’t matter much. No central command can command that many people spread over that much area, well.

Nobody really gives a shit about Russia. Its played out. If Putin wants anybody it’s Bernie whose never managed to find anything wrong with the worst despots humanity has to offer. I don’t think this propaganda has much of an effect. I can’t point to anybody who was swayed by hokey adverts.
The other side of the coin is this. Trump had record turnout for an incumbent. In Texas he was uncontested on the ballot and he got 1.88 million votes. The entire Democrat party got 2 million. And nobody had to go out and vote for Trump, they did it anyway. He got more votes than the entire Democratic ticket in Alabama and Utah. People are coming out to vote for Trump and they don’t even need to. He had the biggest incumbant turnout in American history
The democrats are in trouble. Right now, it’s not even close.

The whole Espionage thing, brrrrrr it’s so scary…is a pet peeve of mine.

The US has been getting their butts handed to them in the game of espionage for decades and decades. The last time the US won the espionage game was probably before they became the United States, out-spying the Brits, ‘ya know what I’m sayin’?

But guess what? Winning the espionage game is about majoring in the minors, it’s all about the strongest economy. It’s about butter, not guns. That’s one thing Reagan understood, or stumbled into…USSR, China, everybody else, was “out-espionaging” the heck out of the US the entire time, and IT DIDN’T MATTER.

And who is denying that, @pat?

Certainly not me. I actually have been preparing myself for 4 more years of Trump’s shit-show. For me; how many people turn out to vote for him makes little difference in who he is and how I feel about him.

East Germany no longer exists today. The Stasi was their KGB.

From Wiki:

The Ministry for State Security or State Security Service, commonly known as the Stasi, was the official state security service of the German Democratic Republic. It has been described as one of the most effective and repressive intelligence and secret police agencies ever to have existed.

…didn’t help.
