because at every turn Christ was denouncing the rich and championing the poor .
Christ was the epitome of ANTI Capitalist .
you will have to show me one instance where Christ was pro Capitalism , where he thought that some one should not get food because they had no money ???
[/quote]
I never said Christ was a capitalist, ever. He had NO economic orthodoxy whatsoever; that is NOT what his message was about. An economic institution (e.g., communism, capitalism or socialism) is a system of roles and norms, organized by society, to produce and distribute goods and services making use of land, labor and capital available to produce and distribute those goods and services. Christ said nothing whatsoever as to how a populace should or should not allocate those scare resources to best meet its needs and wants. Honestly, you’re talking in circles without any basis to your claims, save for the tired old diatribe about rich and poor, while apparently lacking a full understanding of what socialism really is.
Ministering and teaching, while sometimes “denouncing the rich and championing the poor” does not constitute state socialism. It may be one single part and parcel of what motivates the philosophy behind a form of state socialism, but you need to educate yourself more on the tenets of state socialism from an economic and/or a political science perspective. Your argument would be synchronous with me concluding that Russia is a true democracy simply because it allows voting, when voting is just one part and parcel of a democratic political model - it’s a part of the whole, nothing more.

what would you say about Obama if he wanted the poor to eat even though they could not afford it or free medical care to those that could not afford it , OH a Socialist
Christ did have an economic point and it was free for all

Stop buying pot and handle your needs. If you have no needs, use the money for the poor.

I would need to know more about his philosophy for allocation of state resources and taxation first. No, wanting the poor to eat even though they cannot afford it is not carte blanche socialism. You don’t seem to get that socialism is a pretty significant philosophy that transcends the simplicity of somehow giving or helping the poor, but I doubt you’ve ever read Marx, Engels, Keynes, Saint-Simon, Clement Attlee or David Ricardo, to name just a few.
You are simply mistaken in your label of Christ, end of story, but I won’t continue to waste time debating here, because I am starting to believe you are either trolling or otherwise lack a fundamental academic understanding of economic systems. Labeling Jesus a “socialist” is as much of a fallacy as labeling the Pope a “Marxist.” These are convenient labels that usually get applied by persons who don’t inherently understand the doctrines from which they are applying the label.
you do as you please , I just think you are short sighted and you forget the name of the thread “The Pope is a Marxist” evidently therajraj Thinks the Pope is a Marxist and I believe that to be a form of Socialism .
Also I bet the Pope is trying his best to be Christ like . So
But you don’t see a connection , You my friend are suspect to being part of that American Wide movement CJS , I do not know but it could be a world wide movement by So Called Conservatives that ha an inability to discuss something that is out side your predigested rhealm of info

Yes if the rajraj thinks the current Pope is a Marxist then it goes without saying that:
a) the rajraj is right
and
b) Jesus was a socialist
It’s basic logic. A thinks B = C therefore D = E. Thanks for setting us straight pitt.

POPE Francis has accused communism of stealing its ideas from Christianity, and said its founding thinker Karl Marx “did not invent anything.”
Commenting on suggestions in the media that his world view is not dissimilar to communist ideology, the Pope responded that it was the church that got there first.
