Seriously now.

I like the feeling of driving a gigantic hunk of steel. I like it for the safety. I like being able to haul whatever I need to, if I need to. I like having the ability to pile a ton of people in to my truck. I like being above everyone else on the road. I like leg room. I like the insurance of being able to use my vehicle as a weapon if I ever really had to.

And finally, I like being able to drive whatever the hell I want to drive. Because I can.

What was this thread supposed to be about again?

I wasn’t disparaging your choice, just curious if you needed a truck or just like to drive one, especially since you specified an F-250. Personally if I was getting one just to drive I would go for the softer ride of the 150 and the extra 10k in my pocket.[/quote]

I live in Japan and I’ve already gone all in just by virtue of existing here. Why the hell stop now, right?

I love diesel trucks, nothing like cruising down the road at 100+.

I do hate diesels off-road in deep mud, snow, or sand. Motherfuckers sink like a brick.

Hey Cortes how many sexy Asian women can you get in an F-250?

I don’t know and I don’t think it would be responsible for me to leave the answer to that question up to chance.

Since this has become a ‘Texans/former Texans who drive trucks’ thread…

I drive a single cab F 150, 8 ft bed. I use it for work on a regular basis. I have to be able to fit 2 4x4 pallets in the bed, hence the need for a full bed. The full bed coupled with an extended cab is just too long to drive in Dallas, otherwise I would prefer a larger cab. parallel/meter parking would not happen. Just yesterday I hauled 3 full truckloads of mulch (personal use, not work).

Dat utility.

On part of our honeymoon, I took my wife back home and wanted to treat her to a bed and breakfast in Fredericksburg. I had to borrow my mom’s Honda Civic for the ride down from Arlington. Once we got close to the hill country, I veered off the highway and stuck to the truck roads for the remainder of the trip. I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that, for the next 75 miles, we were the ONLY car on the entire road. Ever.

I will also admit that I did feel irrationally…small. Not to my wife, but generally. f^_^;)

And here, it’s actually not even that hard to perform the experiment!

If you can leave the tailgate down, two four x four skids will fit in a short bed. Just have to make sure and strap them in.

I personally like the look better of a regular cab, but can’t imagine not having the space of an extended cab.

I do wish I had vinyl seats/floors. My dogs hair is a nightmare to get up. Nice thing about the extended cab is I can raise the back seat so he doesn’t get it covered in hair.

I may have to learn Japanese.

I did try and smash a Japanese grad student who was smoking hot. Got her back to my place and got shut down. Which is very rare for me.

Japanese wimmenz dont react to chloroform well.

not that I would know, of course…

I am getting nauseaous just from reading about it.

Duramax/Allison combo is the real deal.

God damn it.

Emetic.

Yes, that is the appropriate word.
