It has to rank up in the top train wrecks I’ve seen on this board. There were the Anthony Roberts debacles for those who read the Pharma forum years ago, and some Professorial disasters in the BB forums to keep it company.
It would be more for local issues than the Presidential election. We have had things like tax increases voted down by a fraction of a percent in the past, it has been that close.
It is refreshing but kinda late don’t you think ? Why not put the foot down against Russia sooner ?
Democrats let orange Hitler (Bill Maher’s name for Trump, not mine) creep back into the race while trying to run out the clock, unfortunately Hillary has a shit offense and had to punt to someone like Barry Sanders. This is the second occasion where she could have put him away but failed, if she loses, she deserves to lose.
Yep. The policy tragedy of Trump may end up being not that he gave HRC the WH but that he gave her the WH and took big chunks out of the GOP Hill firewall that would restrain her. (On the other hand I believe that the GOP writ large ought to suffer for this election season – that is, for Trump – and so I’m not TOO broken up.)
In other news:
According to Steve Schale:
“On Thurs alone, 82.5% of Hispanic early voters were considered low propensity voters.”
Which means that they weren’t being included in LV polls.
For the record, it’s been suggested – very credibly, in my view – that the CIA was behind a Ukranian group’s hack and leak of emails belonging to Vladislav Surkov (a Putin aide). We did, after all, promise to retaliate for the FSB/GRU DNC hack (the one Trump’s been trying to cover Putin for). Some VERY embarrassing stuff in there, including proof that the Kremlin was passing around and editing a document that it would later parade around as a letter written by Ukranian citizens pleading for Russian intervention in Crimea. Aside: the outlet that pushed the letter as authentic? Therajraj’s favorite, RT.
Edit: unclear why the link won’t embed, but the headline is “Clinton’s charity confirms Qatar’s $1 million gift while she was at State Dept” that she did not disclose while serving.
If you aren’t going to offer evidence then drop it and stop reading or responding to my posts.
Everyone here is anti-trump minus a handful of posters who barely post that are lukewarm on Trump. I’m the only
One here who is 100% pro Trump
Secondly I’m the only who touches the diversity question - welfare rates, effects on culture, crime rates, effects on communities, Islam etc. My opinion is that you’re some super nice guy from the Midwest that could never entertain the idea diversity is making America worse - it genuinely bothers you
In President Carters autobiography, he discussed how he found out that the local Democratic voting machines stuffed the ballot boxes at the local level while he ran for offices before he was governor.
I personally had the Democrat Mayoral candidate in Edison, NJ ask for me to promise to vote for him, if he could register me to vote. Knocked on my door on a Saturday morning a month after I moved to NJ. Wouldn’t register me because I wouldn’t promise and started to ask questions.
I saw a lot in NJ that just sickened me with the political process. Sadly, I see a lot of the same now in Omaha.
I am of the mindset that the ends does not justify the means. This election sickens me.
Let me get this right - as you note, we’re a relatively homogenous group here, and you’re a distinct minority, but you think it’s imperative that you stay here to voice your opinion, challenge the homogeneity by adding points of view not presently in favor here, and try to convince people they should vote for Trump?
But you’re an enemy of diversity.
Heh.
Good Lord, your level of self-awareness is lower than Zeb’s.
I am not 100% any for politician, and that includes some that I have known and interacted with personally.
I also stated from the outset that I have no delusions that The Donald is even remotely interested in some blue collar schmoe like me. The only reason I support any politician is on the chance that I may benefit in some abstract way from their own self interest.
People like me are not close enough to the tap to get any sugar from drinking political cool aide. Most people aren’t.
