You know what else I find really troubling about this election cycle?
I think if we had reports that the Russians were interfering with anyone EXCEPT Clinton, then we’d have full-blown riots on the streets and demands for Russia’s blood.
Ok, I;m exaggerating with the “full-blown riots”, but I’m pretty sure that the conservative hawks aren’t getting incredibly pissed off simply because it’s Clinton.
But, as of now, Clinton has not been formally indicted
Erdogan gives what he feels are legitimate reasons for mass imprisonment of Gulenists. That doesn’t mean that his actions since the coup attempt looks an awful lot like the actions of a dictator working with the blessings of an authoritarian government.
So would it be wrong for a political leader to lie about, say, the actual cause of an attack on an American Ambassador and then blame it on a civilian? Would something like that disqualify that person from further public “service”?
If at the bottom of the lie was a covert CIA operation that went bad, as just about everyone who has closely followed Benghazi believes, then it would be complicated. Remember the part about there not being a legitimate reason for Trump’s lie?
But much more importantly, are you under the impression that saying four people were killed because of a riot that spun into an attack rather than because of a premeditated assault exists in the same universe as saying that America’s thermonuclear adversary is not directly attempting to sabotage the American election and install the sayer as POTUS when it’s been made explicitly clear that it is? Is that something you believe, that these are comparable scenarios?
Edit: also, what disqualifies Trump is the entire body of Kremlin connections, up to and including the unprecedented fact that Putin is openly trying to subvert the electoral process in Trump’s favor. I explicitly described Trump’s lie as “the cherry on top” rather than the whole case.
But you go ahead and convince yourself that your political interests coincide with Vladimir Putin’s. I don’t care anymore. Barring an unforeseeable surprise, the election is over. Anyone who puts his own mumbling partisan id over the fundamental security of the American experiment is both a fool and morally culpable in something that is getting nearer to treason than mere corruption, but that’s a personal problem.
These three MSM articles paint Hillary just as unsavory. And I am guessing you don’t like Schweizer, but also presume you feel WSJ is legit…
I’m not saying Trump isn’t a Manchurian candidate (if that is your implication), but I can see a businessman with international exposure having relationships with unsavory governments as a course of business. Are we to assume GE’s venture with Rosneft, Ford, Pepsi, Morgan Stanley et al are all Russian puppets?
Clinton is definitely on pay for play hook, since what else does she have to offer?
In the end, I don’t feel that Czar Putin ever quit being head of the KGB. As Intelligence leader and Czar since '99, he constantly probes, manipulates, and seizes the opportunities whenever and through whomever they avail themselves.
Probably creamed his jeans over these two twits, knowing he could work both.
They don’t even come close to painting her as just as unsavory. The fact of Putin’s intervention in the election alone is dispositive. Adjoin it to the literally unprecedented NAT skepticism, the many ludicrous regurgitations of Kremlin propaganda, the overt stoogery of Trump advisers, MGIMO’s explicit pleas for Trump and against Clinton, and all the rest – we have a matter so clear that is settles itself. As I said to Max about this very line of reasoning:
I’m aware of and have criticized the CF/Uranium connection. In any other election it would make Clinton the candidate with shady Kremlin ties. In this one, however, it doesn’t come even a little close. This is so because “Trump’s praise of Putin” doesn’t even begin to scratch at the surface of the literally unprecedented, utterly disqualifying body of evidence linking Trump to Kremlin interests. I have summarized this body of evidence before, but I’ll do it again if you didn’t catch those earlier posts.
I am quite literally certain that you’ll agree with me if we must lay it all out, because the contrast will be undeniable at a fundamental level. If you want to make the Kremlin-Clinton case in its entirety, I’ll be happy to make the Trump one.
Donald Trump does not want Illegal Mexican Immigration ( Which is already a law ) because illegals can bring crime, He doesn’t mean all, Also he doesn’t want Muslims from the middle east with such backward fucked up societies coming to a country where we’re peaceful, Genghis Khan tried Multiculturalism and the empire was fucked after his death, You see the burned body in the first video I posted?, That was what the citizens did to a Private Contractor in Iraq after he died they hung and burned his body as a sign of revenge, They didn’t instigate the attack, They weren’t responsible for what happened to civilians they were a different group, A family member of mine died in Afghanistan taken by a man who, Wasn’t taught Science, The big bang theory etc only taught since birth that Allah is the greatest and he created everything, How people can still believe religion is beyond me, Hilary only says popular opinions, She hated gay marriage and now she loves it because she sees it as a political advantage to her agenda.
He’s talking about the notion that the attack was the result of peaceful protests turning violent over some video making fun of Allah while simultaneously telling her daughter it was a terror attack. I happen to agree that it is deplorable, purposefully deceitful, but not disqualifiying in general (She’s never had my vote anyway).
I don’t really want to, you are too diligent.
Plus you have boxed me in with a Kremlin only argument.
Perhaps this explains my thoughts more accurately - Trump’s narcissism and (probable) average IQ make him likely to be a puppet, totally unbeknownst to him. She is so desperate for actual money, legacy and devoid of character (and/or ______pathic), she would trade anyone or anything to get these.
My inelegant summation is that he is an egocentric flunky dunce that could get (is getting?) played. She is a pathological lying and guileful societal engineer battling a potentially neurological incapacity.
Since empires collapse internally from corruption, I find her frightening.
Edit Would like more in depth reading on 2 areas if you would direct - Movement of SA-23 into Syria and also anything about Afghanistan shadow military ie on US payroll but non existent in reality Thanks
That’s cool, I didn’t really want to either lol. FTR my intention wasn’t to box you in re: the Kremlin. I understand there are many other grounds on which to criticize HRC. I simply have come to the conclusion that this particular issue is unprecedentedly urgent. We are in uncharted waters with Trump / Putin, and I have a very specific vision of where they might lead. Self-interest impels me to vote for Clinton regardless of how I otherwise feel about her.
I don’t really disagree with the other stuff you’ve written, but I would add that this…
She is so desperate for actual money, legacy and devoid of character (and/or ______pathic), she would trade anyone or anything to get these.
…can work to our advantage. When someone is POTUS, self-interest and American interests tend to converge at certain important pressure points. POTUS’ legacy and endurance become tied to the health of the economy and the security of the nation. If she is the pure distillation of sleepless political ambition the Right has painted her to be, I have no doubt that she will at the very least do everything in her power to (e.g.) keep Putin out of Latvia – and that’s something I want very much.
I’m not sure we can keep him out of former USSR countries.
Russia will claim 1000 year empire status and proximity
Remember the old fight in Summer, he flips this & going into winter while holding Europe’s heat
US is tired of fighting
W Europe / NATO swallow hard and think we don’t really care about Russia’s ‘Sudetenland’
4b) Poland & CZ probably quaking and thinking shit gettin real now
Let me know on my post above on the edit if you can direct to some more reading material
