I heard a couple of days ago he was polling behind Rick Perry and even with Castro for Senate seat. Castro bros have worked endlessly to flip Texas into Dem camp, to provide perspective to non Texans.
IMO he wet his bed at convention, but if he insulted my wife and father nationally, I would have told him where to get off. Alas I am no politician.
I’m pretty confident that this is exactly his mindset. Mark Levin recently said he will vote for Trump. His explanation is precisely what you stated. We can’t have Hillary, but that doesn’t mean he gives up his ideals and rubber stamps every crazy thing Trump proposes. Oppose progressive ideas whether they come from a Republican or a Democrat.
The problem for Cruz is how far he went and his stunt at the convention. It’s one thing for a talking head to shift positions - it’s another to be a party poobah, get invited to the convention, and give Trump the middle finger when it was time to consolidate and give the winner his nomination.
Did he run his mouth off in any fashion other than to challenge trump to an interview? I don’t typically follow the tabloid news so this is the last I recall. I was actually really looking forward to the prospect of a Cuban/Trump interview. It seemed an opportunity for someone to actually pin him to his policy propositions and not be accused as a career politician or part of the mainstream media essentially leading to a more candid interview.
I did get a bit of a chuckle out of the thought of Flowers in the front row at the debate though, never can fault Trump for entertainment value.
This does really contradict with his typically idealistic stances, it reminds me a bit of his ACA filibuster. At the time I always wondered if this was on idealistic grounds or more of a pragmatic political stance. There has been a bit of a dichotomy with regards to Cruz and whether he is truly dedicated to conservative principles or more so acting as the shrewd politician.
Well Cuban being a Hillary supporter and critic of Trump, bragged about landing a front row seat at the debate. So Trump felt like upping the ante, I’m sure Hillary appreciates the photo op of her husband’s accuser sitting right in front of her.
He sat out a war because his feetsies hurt, then spent an election season sniping at veterans and their families like an old chain-smoking hag in a fake fur coat. He is by miles the most feminine candidate on the ballot this year, and he’s running against two women. He isn’t even a little ballsy.
I know that’s not how you meant it – I just wanted to say all this.
More importantly, here’s the guy from whom Orange Dumbass gets advice on Russia:
“While the loss of Michael Brown and Eric Garner has received intense media coverage and perfunctory federal government investigations, the economic injustice unleashed upon the millions of people residing in Russia, Ukraine and the former Soviet Union by misguided Western policies has met limited recognition.”
Note that Page is reportedly under investigation for ties to Russian leadership.
Edit: I am only half kidding when I say that voting for the guy who thinks it’s a good idea to take Russia-related advice from the guy who wrote the above is tantamount to an act of national sabotage.
Double edit: Actually, I’m not kidding at all. I don’t know why I suggested I was.
I think the latest is that she isn’t attending, but addressing your point - what’s ballsy about it? It’s risk-free, consequence-free trolling of an opponent. It may be crass, or edgy, but it ain’t ballsy, or brave, or daring.
An alpha male type would never do such a silly stunt - because he wouldn’t be in need of one. Trump acts more like a Mean Girl than an Alpha Male.
The mean girl here would be Hillary, as she started what became known as the bimbo eruptions. In her current pursuit to advance women’s rights, she displayed stunning irony trying to discredit her husband’s accusers.
Sure it’s a dick move on his part, but she landed herself in a position to be dicked, or maybe I should say schlonged.
You’re confused again. What Hillary is or isn’t is irrelevant - she might be the meanest, most base human, or not, and it has no bearing on whether Trump is himself a faux alpha, Mean Girl.
And he is. Thin skin, prone to hysterics, spiteful, whiney, and set for revenge against an any perceived slight ever.
I’m not confused in the slightest. What Trump does is offer a huge counterpunch, so much to the point where it makes people reconsider the initial punch. This is why the media won’t go after him the way that they should. Should the media, or a politician, have the strength and backbone to endure his counterpunch and still go after him, you might actually see him lose ground.
