Let me think a Presidential candidate who deletes thousands of top secret emails after setting up a private server in her bathroom. A detestable human being who told the truth to her daughter about the reason for the Benghazi attacks but then lied to the world, including the mother of one of the brave men who died in combat. I could go on as Hillary has a long record of deceiving the public whom she says she wants to serve. She does want to be President of the United States.

I don’t know man, seemed like a bit of an over reaction. The guy states his opinion and you fly off the handle saying how much more you know about the topic and how much smarter you are, all the while never actually addressing the issue.
I didn’t fly off any handle: I simply don’t take Zeb seriously. You shouldn’t either.
And I did address the issue: the issue of Zeb’s being plainly incapable of coming to any kind of valuable conclusion regarding how we fight terrorism, because he doesn’t have even the remotest idea about how we fight terrorism (or much of anything else, really), and is therefore slandering tens of thousands of people who spend their time conferring upon him an undeserved measure of security to which he is happily and stupidly oblivious.
My point, in other words, is not that American CT policy/practices are beyond criticism. It’s that Zeb’s is buffoonish. Because in the adult world, soundbites heard on some airhead’s talk radio show don’t actually matter, and you’ll never have a useful view of any policy issue without putting in the work for at least a minimally detailed understanding of reality. We know beyond doubt that Zeb gets, trusts, and regurgitates information from chain emails and Rush and other bottom-feeder garbage-heaps. He thinks in soundbites and tabloid headlines. That’s worthy of derision.
You suspect he might deserve greater benefit of the doubt, or that I ought to afford him the courtesies I might afford some generic everyman. You think I ought to make sure I’m not giving in to meanness or hubris in dealing with him. I think those are good general guidelines, but you’re wrong in this particular case. It doesn’t really matter what I say to him, just as it didn’t really matter what I said to one of those AIM bots I used to write insults to in the fifth grade. That’s what he is: nobody. A liar, and an idiot.
Incidentally, it is generally good to know about OTW II and other foreign/domestic US-CT-related words/phrases if you’re going to denigrate US-CT. You don’t need to know every name and detail, but you should probably have at least a vague sense of what’s actually going on in the world beyond what’s divulged in the latest OUTRAGING PRESS-CONFERENCE QUOTATION email.
