I’ll root for the Caps, the local team even though they don’t have the skill or grit to do it. If you want jagr, you can have him. All he has done is caused ticket prices to go up so that I have given up my season tickets. Hard to justify on a losing team spending 8-10K(4 tickets) while I can buy a flat screen and still go to plenty of games.

Sure, everyone has good games and not-so-good games, who can argue with Roy’s playoff record? Dude has 4 championship rings and 148 playoff wins. Hell, take the other seven goalies from the Western Conference playoff teams and they have a combined total of 82 postseason wins.
I’m thinking it’s going to come down to Colorado in the West (what’dya think I’d say?) and either the Sen’s (unless Groove can put some voodoo hex on the Islanders so his boys won’t get their lunch handed to them by an 8th seed) or Devil’s in the East.

Wow. I managed to catch all of the Wings-Ducks; what a great way to start off a playoff series. There were a lot of other surprises too (Ottawa, Dallas). I wasn’t that surprised that the 'Nucks lost; I was surprised by the whopping the Blues handed them. They had better pick it up.
I’ve always loved the first round because there is good hockey on every night. Can’t wait for the games tonight.
And Karma, I noticed that your little 'toon of Peter Forsberg left out one minor detail. He may be all over the ice, but in game one, there was one place he wasn’t…on the scoreboard!

The Indestructible: Sigh Yes, yes you are right. Peter was no where to be seen last night. Except maybe getting laid out by Walz and the ref’s added insult to injury by not even calling it. Damn. Roloson was on his head though; he had an amazing night with 39 blocked shots. Un-fucking-believeable that they were outshot 18-3 and walked away with the “W”.

AAAW… The lil’ Red Wing fans are sad… ya, whuteva. RED WINGS SUCK!! And they always will. A team gets a damn hot goalie and good shit happens. The Red Wings have given it a hell of a ride, but half the team needs to retire. And as for Hitler, well he’s not the answer either. But then again you can’t replace a Bowman, bulldog bitch that he is.
As for the rest of the playoffs, hahaha. The East? Come on, pleaase! The Sens and Philly are about the only threat to the West and that’s not even a threat. The Devils? Maybe more so cuz they have the experience. But come now, be honest. No one in the East is gonna beat whoever comes out of the West…as if it’d be anyone but the Av’s. Goalies? Defenseman? Forwards? The East just can’t stack up to the West.
But to the Red Wing fans, I did want to see a Western Showdown with the classic Wings vs. Avalanche, and watch Roy call Cujo out to center ice and kick his ass along with aaaaall of the other Red Wing’s goalies.

As far as being on crack… hmmmm, to borrow a phrase from the great T-vixen ~karma~, I’ve gotta stop free basing the HotRox. But Roy IS THE BEST GOALIE ever, can’t dispute the carer of Roy. He has been there, done that, got the T-shirt and mug - not to mention the Cup rings. In my opinion he’ll retire this year. That’s just my take on it. He is the kind of guy you HATE him on other teams an LOVE him on yours, because he is a leader. He would have messed with Hasek last year but the dude couldn’t skate to center ice without tripping over a stick. LOL Just messing with you ExHit. You have to love the the Wings and AVS games.
