The Impeachment Hearings

Contained by whom? If the blue wall goes blue again and Florida or Texas tips blue then the Dems get all 3 branches in 2020. Then it’s $34T VA-level healthcare for everyone, gun confiscation, carbon taxes, wealth taxes and amnesty in pretty short order.

Which prominent Democratic senators and congressman oppose even single payer let alone the other policies?

First; there will be no Police State Gun confiscation.

Second; even if all of these things were implemented (which is doubtful); Conservatives would be at the trough reaping the benefits like everyone else, while blaming Liberals for the downfall of the Republic,

Well, duh. You don’t say that, though!

Did you mean to write “reeking,” or “reaping?” Assuming the latter, what do you mean? What are the benefits of the things listed by @Basement_Gainz?

LOL! Thanks, @NickViar !

“Reaping”!

Democrats =/= socialist

You think that even if Texas flips blue, all that is getting enacted? Not a chance.

Yep. Warren’s not going to get her agenda enacted, and Wall Street knows it - they just want to speak into politics to get candidates they like better a push. Compare the stock market’s performance when Reps and Dems are in office - you won’t find major differences.

Don’t forget under Kenya-born, Constitution-shredding socialist Obama the stock market was up 52% over his terms.

In other words, I never buy the histrionic chicken-littling done by “conservatives” that markets will crash with the election of a liberal.

Agree.

You’ve been warned @thunderbolt23 about your tendency to post…facts.

My point @NickViar is that Conservatives slurp at the trough of Governmental Benefits as much as anyone…then blame everything on those “Damn Libs”.

The things Basement Gainz posted were not realities…but fear-mongering talking points of the Right.

Tell that to New Yorkers whose magazines went from legal to a felony offense over night with zero recourse.

They don’t have elections in NY?

I’ve been searching for statistics to back that claim, but I’ve been finding articles that equate tax breaks/credits and welfare(other than some coal mining towns).

Slow your roll there buddy, that’s an average of 6.5% over his 8 years - those are less than stellar returns considering historical annual average of the S&P is about 10%. I wouldn’t tout 6.5% return on average as some sort of accomplishment…even given the anemic financial recovery … that’s 350 basis points BELOW historical averages…

Whoops, my bad - the 52% was a truncated section - it was up 113% over Obama’s eight years:

Back ‘atcha’, @polo77j!

The point I have always made about the Obama Years have been this: he and his Administration taking us through the worst economic times since the Great Depression, averting what could have been an absolute Worldwide disaster. I consider ANY market gains during that time “great”.

Let me ask you guys a hypothetical; would you have wanted Trump in the White House; a man who till this day can’t keep a viable and working administration unless they show unwavering loyalty; sitting down trying to avert the economic disaster President Obama and his Administration were facing on their first day in Office?

It your answer is “yes”…what could Trump have possibly done better? Gotten a loan from Putin?

Stop giving us fake news … I trust you man haha

I was thinking about just looking at the return, year by year, over his 8 years … I’d imagine the average over the first 4 would be lower than the average over the last 4 …

And whar’s ironic (or reverse ironic, who the Hell knows now) is Obama’s market performance was touted as a reason to vote Trump - Wall Street fatcats and the elitist 1% got all the gains during Obama’s tenure, while regular folks in the flyover states got shafted. A soaring stock market was proof the game was rigged by coastal elites at the expense of Trump country!

So went the argument then. Now stock market gains are good again!

Macrotrends is a great site for you numbers people

What kind of gun laws existed under Republican Giuliani in NYC? Add to that stop and frisk. Has Trump, a New Yorker, ever complained about them or has he spoken in favor of them?
